Looking for a comfortable car for long journey...

Hi there guys...

I'm looking to buy a comfortable car for frequent long journey.

My wife recently was accepted as a lecturer in Universiti Utara Malaysia... and we live in Ipoh, Perak.
So after some discussion together.. we decided that she will live there together with our kids and I will stay here in Perak.
And.. each week.. either she will come down to Perak or I will go up to Jitra.

Right now we have two car.. one as a weekend drive and the other as a daily drive. The problem is the daily drive car is a Perodua MyVi. Really not comfortable for long frequent journey back to Perak and Jitra and vice versa. The weekend car.. is a two seats coupe.. so we will have to put one of our kids in the trunk if we are going to use that car. Really-really not suitable (am thinking of letting it go now but really sayang la.. ).

Anyway.. our maximum budget we are willing to fork out is about RM 130,000. Can add-up a bit more but then.. if possible no la.

What we have in our mind right now is three car (plus another one that my wife really wants but I deemed not suitable for her):

1) Honda Civic 8th Gen 2.0

Currently the top of our choice right now.

2) Proton Waja

Haha.. Waja only. The good thing is it is cheapo man. El-cheapo!! The remaining money can go to a lot of other useful stuff. The downside.. it's a proton. Why am I even considering this car?? Because my old neighbor claimed that from comfortability aspect Waja is pretty much the same as Civic. Is it true?? Not sure.. were hoping for some enlightenment from fellow forummers.

3) Nissan Slyphy

Not sure what 's the price tag for this... later I check.

4) My wife's choice... Nissan Latio Sport

From the outside.. it is kinda small.. so not sure if it is comfortable or not. That's why I deemed this car not a good choice.

The main aspect we are looking here is comfortability. Price tag of maximum we are willing to go is about Rm130,000. Anymore than that is a bit hard on me.

So guys.. any recommendation??

::EDITED::

Some may ask why the heck don't I test drive my self. Well.. going to.. but need to see what sort of info I might get here first. That will help me narrow down on the only choice that we really like. And who knows.. maybe you guys have a better suggestion for me??

Free Software that equals paid ones..

Hiya fellas...

Want to format my computer this afternoon.

All this time I've been using a lot of pirated software... now want to stop using pirated and change to a better solution in terms of morality and ethics which is using free software instead of using pirated ones.

Nothing really.. I just suddenly feel bad about using all these stuff without paid... suddenly thought.. what if I was the developer and people actually took my software and use it without giving me a single cent??

So.. need you guys recommendation as I am totally clueless about these kind of things (I only know install and use.. the rest was given to me by the person who formatted my PC last time in a CD).

So..... need recommendation for these softwares as these are the ones I used frequently:

ACDSee 9.0 (picture viewer software.. recommend me a good and free one)
Cyberlink PowerDVD (got a good one yet at the same time free arr??)
Nero 7 (that's the one in my PC right now.. would appreciate if anyone can give me a good yet free solution)

For now that's the software that I'm pretty sure needs to pay... so any free counterparts you guys can recommend me??

Thanks in advance to all my wonderful fellow forummers for your help.
I really-really appreciate it. Thanks guys

*Forgot to say... my Windows is Windows Vista.

Sound system problem... and Last.fm

Hai..

I don't really know where should I post this question up. Since it has something to do with software and also hardware (sound card).

So I decided to ask it here...

I am using Chaintech AV-710 as my source.

Just this morning I started to use Last.fm... after reading it somewhere in this forum.

I installed it and have it running without any problem until this afternoon when I shutdown my computer for a while because of the rain and thunder.

I switch it open again at around 4PM... and started to encounter problems. My sound started to dissappear. I was watching a film when that happen. Tried to change the sample rate from 96Hz to 48Hz but nothing happen.

I restarted my PC and the sound come back. But when I listen to music (using foobar 0.9.4) the sound dissapear again. And just after that I closed the Last.fm program and restart my foobar and there is sound again.

So I concluded that the reason my sound keep dissapearing is because of this program (Last.fm). Any suggestion on what should I do?? Ofcourse uninstalling the program would be my last resort...

Hope someone here can help me with this...

*To moderator... feel free to move my topic to other subtopic or forum if you find this topic unappropriated to be here...

Windows Customization problems

QUOTE(fariz @ Feb 3 2005, 09:19 AM)

Closing the dock and launching a game and restarting the dock:

You could simply do this by assigning the shortcut to a .bat file. Make a text file with the following in it:

taskkill /F /IM YzDock.exe
start /wait C:\Games\UT2003\System\UT2003.exe
start C:\Apps\YzDock\YzDock.exe
exit

Substitute the folder with your own path..

Then save the file and change the extentsion to .bat. Do this for each game. It will even work from the dock. This will close the dock, start the game, then when you exit the game it will start the dock and close the prompt window.

Hi... can anyone here please elaborate more on what do I need to do here?? And can this be done with RK Launcher??

Just started using RK Launcher this morning...

===============================

Currently I am using Samurize, WindowsBlind & StyleXP, AveDesk and RK Launcher.

Will all this stuff affected my gaming experience and games performance (example... like F.E.A.R, Oblivion and so on... my RAM is 1GB)

===============================

Seeing on the RK Launcher.. there is already a Recycle Bin icon there... how can I remove the current Recycle Bin on the desktop...

Thanks in advance..

*A newbie in desktop customization... just started one days ago...

Chaintech AV-710 problems

Hi guys...

I'm having some quite troublesome problem with my AV-710.

Whenever I change the output channel to High Sample Rate (usually 96k Hz) sometimes the sound will dissapear. I have read somewhere (I think here but when I tried to search for the topic... it has already hilang somewhere...) that one way to evade this is to disable the Windows Sound. Yeah that do solve the problem since one reason why the sound will dissapear is when the are other sound in the background initiated (for example... windows clicking sound).

But then the sound still keeps dissapearing (especially when playing foobar and games).

Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening??

*I believe some user of Chaintech AV-710 would understand what I mean... well... sort of...
