Selecting classes in University

Hi,

I was just wondering, if we sign up for a particular course in Uni, are we allowed to take a few classes not related to our major? ie. I applied for engineering but I am also interested in learning a language. Can I do that? Or must we pick only classes related to our major?
How does this whole selecting classes thing work?

I hope you guys can enlighten me on this. I'm kinda confused.

Hi,

Unlike most of you here, I'm not really a photography enthusiast. Well not yet at least. I'm just looking to buy my first camera to take with me when I go overseas in about a month. It's for taking photos for my own memory and to show the family.
I want something that is easy to use, decent resolution, not too heavy, nice design.... Well basically just a nice good camera that is easy to use for a noob like me
My price range is within 1k-1.5k.

Any suggestions?
