Darn Termites

Hi guys,

My parents' house is currently infested with the little buggers, and I want to get rid of them once and for all. We have tried the spraying method but that didn't last very long...

Am looking at installing a Sentricon baiting system. House is around 3000 square foot semi-d. Read somewhere its around 2.2k one-off and then RM550 a year.

How much would it cost to kill these termites? I am looking at Sentricon but open to other ideas.

Decided to ask here to avoid being ripped off

Cheers!

Wow, just looking at the edge financial daily today, headline

"VW to take 51% stake in Proton's key assets"

"Sime Darby to buy Khazanah's 43% stake at close to its NTA of RM9.50 a share"

I never thought it would happen, but it looks likely that it will!

Is this a good investment in anticipation of the sale?
HD-DVDs in Klang Valley

Hi guys,

I'm looking for somewhere that sells HD-DVDs in Klang Valley, as I just got myself an XBox 360 HD-DVD player.

I have had a look at the store in Cineleisure on the LG floor, but they did not have much choice, although they could order.

I know that you can order from Amazon, but I would really like a copy of Corpse Bride right now ehehe...

Thanks everyone!

Online Foreign Brokerage Account

I am interested in purchasing units of exchange-traded funds as well as shares in the USA and the UK, and I was wondering whether anyone had set up an online brokerage account with brokers there - for example, Ameritrade or E-Trade. I do believe they allow foreigners to have brokerage accounts.

The main concern I have is I dont have a bank account in America, UK etc. so the costs of getting the money out may be prohibitive.

Anyone had experience with this and think it is worth it?

My New Branding Website

Hi guys,

I just hand-coded a new website for a venture with some friends of mine from the UK about brand strategy marketing for businesses. It is called Brand Libra, and I was wondering what you all thought.

I am quite happy with the outcome, as it is my first time hard-coding just using CSS and HTML, and I hope the look is simple and approachable/friendly which is what I was going for. It is meant to be like a lot of new Web 2.0 sites like myspace and sites using AJAX (although I dont use AJAX, I just wanted that feel eheheh).

Would really appreciate your comments!

Thanks!

Ken

Streamyx Progressive Slowdown

I dont know what is going on. When I first connect to Streamyx the speed is fine, but then it slows to a crawl after about 15 minutes or so when accessing websites.

At first I thought it was my router, but when I dial in directly using PPPoE on my computer, the same problem!

Anyone else experiencing the same problem as me?
