What are the best languages to learn in 2023/24

Hi to all developers out there, I would like to ask what would be the best language to learn for developing a SaaS? I am not building one for a business, it's more of a personal goal / project.

I am pretty familiar with HTML/CSS and wordpress since I develop Websites, but developing a SaaS is a whole different ball game. I heard Java is a good place to start from all i have been reading and watching on YouTube.

So i would just like to get you guys take on this and see what languages are relevant in this modern age.

JPJ warns car owners of fine, jail term

PETALING JAYA: The road transport department (JPJ) has warned drivers of private vehicles against violating regulations on tinting their windows, saying that they may face a fine or jail time.

JPJ said that the new set of regulations, gazetted under the Motor Vehicles Rules 1991 in 2019, stipulate that the visible light transmittance for a vehicle’s front windscreen should be at least 70% and at least 50% for the front side windows. However, it said the rear side windows and rear windscreen may allow for 0% visible light transmittance.

“Drivers who violate these regulations may be fined up to RM2,000 upon conviction or imprisoned for a period of time not exceeding six months for a first offence,” it said in a statement.

For subsequent convictions, drivers can be either fined up to RM4,000 or jailed for up to 12 months.

JPJ has issued a total of 108,428 traffic violation notices related to tinted windows since 2019.

According to JPJ, individuals who require tinted windows for safety or health reasons can apply for approval via the JPJ portal.

Metal Health and Journaling

I have been suffering depression for about 8 years now and have had multiple suicide attempts, Although I have been put on meds to knock out an elephant, there are times where I go down the rabbit whole, and once it happens getting out is very hard even with a mental health professional but I have a hard time explaining my feelings out loud.

I have a loving and supporting family that have helped me out in times of need. Recently my wife suggested that I keep a journal of my feelings and possibilities to help on self.

I have started journaling and finds it’s a huge help in understand my situation and better explaining to my doctor and it in turns helps him to understand what I am feeling.

So for those in need of help, I suggest you start a journal and you might see it helps. It doesn’t have to be a diary or note book, it can be sheets of paper and just let your thoughts to pen and paper. It doesn’t need to be chronological order, just write what's on your mind.

I hope it helps those people in need of help and healing.

Mental Health & Medical Insurance

I just thought I would like to highlight to everyone here from my experience, those suffering from depression or any mental illness are not eligible for health insurance.

I have had medical insurance covered for 150K since I was in my 20s and recently in my 40s I decided to upgrade that to 1 mil (the monthly commitment is not very much from what I am paying now).

Since I got diagnosed with depression and anxiety in my mid 30s, and I when I applied for the 1 mil coverage, they said not eligible because according to them, depression can lead to cancer and other diseases. However this will still honor my 150K insurance.

Have tried with various insurance carriers and all have turned me down.

So for those who are afflicted with mental health problems and have yet to seek professional help, I suggest you apply soon. The insurance wont cover the bills for a physiatrist, but its for other health problems that might come your way.

Also if that wasn't bad enough, I am not eligible for life insurance as well.

If any of my fellows forumers here have had success I would like to hear about it and how did you got about doing it.

Family of four can survive on groceries worth

The Community Communications Department (J-Kom) has claimed that a household of four can survive on RM391 worth of groceries a month.

In an infographic that has been widely panned on social media, J-Kom listed six items that a family of four with a minimum household income of RM1,500 could buy.

They include two whole chickens for RM37.60, two bags of 10kg rice (RM38 per bag), two bottles of cooking oil (RM13.80), a carton of 30 eggs (RM14), two jumbo loaves of bread (RM8.60) and a cylinder of gas (RM19 per month).

Various calculations by Malaysiakini based on the six items, however, failed to add up to the RM391 per month as J-Kom stated.

It is unclear how the department arrived at that amount, and whether it factored in other goods not stated in the infographic such as vegetables and fruits.

Toyota Fortuner Fuel Range Issue

I am currently driving a Toyota Fortuner 2007 with 165K Milelage. It has seen its wear and tear over the years, it has always been faithful to me. I did enquire with my mechanic about doing an overhaul but after inspection he said it's not necessary.

However the question I have today is about Fuel Range, on a full tank the fuel range used to read 420KM, now after I pump in petrol it gives me a range of 370KM. My mechanic couldn't understand, so I was hoping so of you guys could tell me what is the possible issue.
