Ibook G4 hanging after losing Wifi connection

Guys,

Has any one of you encounter this kind of issue before? here's the story, in the last few days my Ibook for an unknown reason lots a connection from my Wifi router. This is really strange since I can still received a Wifi signal with my Iphone, but that's not all. Yesterday and tonight the same thing happen again after I a certain amount of idling period but this time it is hanging as well. I can't go into the wifi icon, it keeps on giving me the "process circle", then I tried to open both terminal and Preference but zero, and suddenly the bloody laptop freeze, I cant touch anything nor any icon , so I do a force reboot. After the reboot everything went well, and I tried to set the interference robustness as well.

Last night the same thing happen again, but this time I got my terminal open already so I run dmessg to check on the system message but did not found anything fishy, just an error says that Airport has lost connection to Wifi network. I tried to killed the process that I suspect to be a culprit but after a while the "hanging" thing happen again. I was suspecting whether this is because of the disk error, so I do a force reboot and start my Ibook on Single-user Mode and run fsck, and the result was clear, no error found.

Has any of you had this kind of problem before?? If the same error happen again I will try to do remount the nsl.

Need your advice on this matters

Thanks

Reason to upgrade from 1.1.2

All,

Can you give me reason to upgrade from 1.1.2? all functionality which available on 1.1.4 is also available on 1.1.2 (by using 3rd party apps), even some 3rd party apps is not stable on 1.1.3 / 1.1.4, below is the comparison:

1. Locate me on google maps ----> alternative using Locate me or Navizon
2. Icon arrangement ---> use customize, even this apps can customize docs, batery bar, signal bar etc (this apps not stable for 1.1.3 above)
3. Multi SMS --> use SMSD or iSMS

What still missing on 1.1.2 is only the drop pin on google maps and shortcut to favorite website.

Reason I did not upgrade yet:

1. Many functionality can still be covered by 3rd party apps
2. So many 3rd party apps are not yet compatible with 1.1.3/1.1.4 (e.g customize, dock etc)
3. Locate me feutures on google maps did not work outside UK and US

So, any advice from you guys on this?
