Stock exchange problem

Hi all,

I've a question: I bought a stock before and do a contra next day. But at the same day after the sell, I buy back the stock again. Surprise me is the next day, the contra is not done for the 1st stock but the 2nd stock. I've informed the broker that I've sold the 1st stock at the day.

The replies as:
Please be informed that buying and selling the same counter in the same day is considered as contra unless clients advised the broking firm/dealer's representative that they do not want to contra the same. The system has been will pick up intraday transaction first.

Anyone here can advise me whether the broker is doing right? or is their mistake?

Data Recovery

Hi,

Yesterday, I found that one of my RAID 0 disk detected SMART failed, which caused the harddisk not functioning. I've several data in the harddisk, but don't know how to extract them out. Anyone know how to do data recovery from the RAID 0 harddisk?

Nokia N95 8GB problem

Hi everyone!

Yesterday my Nokia N95 8GB suddenly having weird problem. It will shut down itself, without giving any notice. The shut down case happen when it run about 30 minutes. I suspect is battery problem, but during it was charging, the phone also auto shut down itself.

The weird part is after it auto shut down, it can't be boot up again, unless I manually take out the battery and wait for some time and put it back, then only can boot again.

Anyone here know what is the problem? It is battery or the phone? I need a solution...

Today I re-formatted the phone, also no luck...

Dear all,

I'm currently facing a problem regarding the investment plan offered by insurance company. 3 years before, i signed up an investment plan from insurance company, which stated that suppose can get the interest on every 3 years. This is the 1st time I can get the money at 01 November 07. But until now, already over half-year, the cheque still haven't reached my hand. There are many stories behind, which the agent in-charge resigned and etc. I've even sent several complain letter to the company and even call them, who said already resend the cheque, but again still not reach me. What an excuss...

I want to know can I take any legal action to the company? They are really wasting my time and I also didn't receive anything as per promised statement.

Anyone got any idea please post your comment here, coz until now I still waiting for the cheque. Thank you.

Bought a spoilt LCD from vikingw2k!

I just bought the LCD from vikingw2k in this thread http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=265483&hl= previous week. But what I get is a spoilt screen LCD. I already send it back to him, and he say he send back to manufacturer to check whether can claim or not. Now what.... say cannot claim.... so what I paid is to get a rubbish!!!

The story is like this: At first, I pm him about I interest to buy the LCD and ask for price. After that, I discuss about the spec etc with him through MSN. He persuade me to buy from him and say it just left 3 units. After I nearly confirm to buy, he say his supplier is packing it for me at that time, so ask me hurry bank in to him. The day I work until very late, but still manage to go to bank and bank in to him the night.

Continue: The next day, I ask him did he post it to me or not. He answer me to post within the next 2 days. ..... After the 2 days, I sms ask him did he send already, he say waiting stock from his supplier! (What is this!!?? previously said already pack for me, now say no stock! ) So I reply him and tell him this. And he agree to send before the weekend, if not then refund.

Continue: After the long time waiting, I finally get the LCD as promise before the weekend. But when I open the package, what I saw is a broken screen LCD! The LCD just put in the box like that, no more protection on the screen!

The story continue as above... all the evidence I still keep it safely...
Someone please advice what action I need to do?

Anyone know this person Siddiq Fadzli, nickname here Oly? I buy a card from him, refer to this Thread. I already bank in money to him, from the 1st deposit is 2 weeks ago, and last payment after he said stock arrived is 1 week ago.

I already pm and try to contact him several times, but still no response. He still keep in silent, never give any explanation. This let me feel like had been cheated. There is another forumer, khaiyuen, also in the same situation, I don't know there are any other people also involved.

I had given him so much time and waiting for his reply, but still the same, no response at all. Anyone here can help? I really don't know what action should be taken.
