4 girls, how to choose?

Hi, haven't been here for almost a year now. I'm 23 years old.

I'll get straight to the point. There are 4 potential girls to be my next GF. Here's the description.

Girl L is a stranger I met on the train. At that time, I didn't have much friends as I just moved to a new place. So, I was quite desperate to find new friends. Maybe cause she was still a stranger but I felt wanting to know her. So, I wrote. I was in a long distance relationship at that time with Girl S. So, I told Girl L in the letter that I already have a GF, blah blah blah. She didn't wrote back or try to talk to me. Just started to notice me and smile with me. I even gave her my phone number already. After that, I tried to approach her 3 times and she pretended to be angry with me for no reason all 3 times. I still feel that I like her and she still smile with me after those 3 times. She's 18 years old, I think.

So problem with her is, immature? Played too hard to get? Maybe wanted to play me?
My problem with choosing her is that I don't know her yet. I just know I like her.

Next is Girl S. She is my ex-GF of 5 years. That 5 years, I suffered a lot, financially and mentally. But I truly loved her until that love died slowly due to her temper and demand for money. She kept saying I don't love her. So, after going through long distance relationship for 6 months, I decided LDR is not for me and my love for her is too weak now. We broke up and she got a new BF after 3 weeks or so. She said he loved her a lot but got a lot of other problems. Basically, in the end, she realizes how much I loved her and that she loved me a lot as well. She wanted to come back. Oh, older than me 1 year.

Problem is we might still be stuck in LDR. She wanted me to chose her and love her like before, which I'm not sure I can anymore. The 5 years I spent on her, I think I should move on. The love for her might never come back. Maybe she got a horrible BF and wanted back.

Girl N is someone I just met. Went out with her after a few days of online chatting. She's rich, good at social and pretty. The problem is the rich part. I don't have a car for various reason. Will go US/AUS soon. Work from home. Eventhough I can afford a good car, I think it is a waste of money, I simply don't use it enough. So, I take the train. Get to see people since I'm stuck at home mostly. She assumes I have a car but I never told her anything. I was hoping that she turns out to be some humble rich girl, like in those romance drama, LOL. She never had a BF before and told me she don't mind that. She kinda like me but I'm not sure since she is good at social. She is 21 years old.

Problem is with her being rich. I might go through tough times in the coming months. We might only be able to date outside and no intimacy at all.

Girl Y is a friend of a few months. We have chemistry, can talk a lot. I told her I wanted a GF and she also wanted a BF. So, it ended up with she suggesting that we both hook up. Problem is I'm not attracted to her at all. She's not fat but she is big-sized and as tall as me. Don't get me wrong, I liked a few fat girls before (not too fat). She's just big. She's like 1.5 times my size. I'm afraid that I will dump her for other girls as I'm just not attracted to her at all.

That's all. I'm looking for serious advice but oh well, this is CC Oh yah, my preference is sorted from the top to bottom, so it is like Girl L > Girl S > Girl N > Girl Y

Cheapest, Fastest Education in US

Can anyone tell me what is the cheapest, shortest duration education I can get to be elligible to work in US after I graduate?

It can be cheapest or covered by PTPTN.

To be elligible to work in US, I need to study there for 1 year at least, right?

Is there a duration where they allow you to find work in US before your visa cannot be renewed?

UK and Australia is also ok with me.

I will be graduating from my Multimedia University Engineering Degree soon. So, a Masters degree is also ok. As long as it is covered by PTPTN or cheap and short duration.

Peer-to-peer (P2P) traffic is choking up local broadband lines with 20% of users utilising 80% of the total bandwidth, according to Internet service provider (ISP) TM Net Sdn Bhd.

These three quotes came from Dr Fadhullah Suhaimi Abdul Malek, general manager of TM Net’s corporate and strategy services.

“We are not against our customers using P2P. However, it is an unfair situation which needs to be addressed, as we cannot upgrade our infrastructure (merely) for the benefit of the minority”

Fadhullah said other countries with high broadband penetration also faced similar problems because “broadband users have a tendency to abuse bandwidth”

20% of users utilising 80% bandwidth

Before we discuss this point, let me make an assumption. Let's say the numbers given by TMnet is correct. Let's say 20% of users are using 100% of their bandwidth, which is really just 128 kilobytes per second, all day. And this 20% is using 80% bandwidth of TMnet. Then, it must mean that TMnet only has enough bandwidth to support around 25% users using their full bandwidth at any time. Of course, this is a worst case scenario.

But combine this with the quotes above and things start to look wrong. TMnet cannot upgrade their infrastructure to even support 25% of their users using full bandwidth. Now despite having high capacity, they are introducing their 512kilobytes per second service while throttling 20% of their users and claiming that they don't have enough capacity for even 25% users.

Either this statement of bandwidth usage is downright wrong or they are really complaining that they can't make more money nowadays. As in, they would prefer to take away promised bandwidth from their users than upgrade their "high bandwidth" Internet lines.

Speed of service is on best effort basis

Most broadband users only surf the Web, chatting and occasionally download and watch online videos. What TMnet means is their customers can only use full bandwidth for a while everyday. Most of the time, you shouldn't be downloading. Most of the time, you should only be using 10% of your promised bandwidth, which isn't really a promise. It is a promise that can be broken at any time, under any due consideration by TMnet.

This the best effort, as in TMnet will only grant you their promise as long as you behave and not ask for what has been promised. Confusing? In simpler words, just surf and occasionally use your full bandwidth on your "unlimited" broadband. By the way, how is using our full bandwidth an abuse?

When broadband is really narrowband

Most, if not all P2P users already know that TMnet throttles their connection. Well, not really. TMnet did not publicly announce to all their users that they are throttling P2P. Yes, this news appeared on news websites and newspapers. Yet they don't have the "capacity" to announce it through their supposedly all-in-one bills. Instead they show you how much bandwidth you are really using each month on your "unlimited" service.

Shouldn't they correct their advertising and write "unlimited but throttled" instead? When everyone can't use a certain Internet service within the full bandwidth, it ceases to be unlimited. It is also not considered the best effort as TMnet makes no effort to upgrade their capacity and prefers to cut their users from using full bandwidth instead. Combined with their 25% capacity, the "best effort" really means 25% effort at all time.

As more people use broadband, the price stayed

It's not that as more and more people use broadband, the price drops and higher cheaper bandwidth is available. It's safe to assume that TMnet wants a high amount of users per bandwidth ratio. Therefore they are holding back from upgrading their infrastructure, which means more customers can sign in, and still use their current network which is congested, and still be able to make more money.

What are the chances of a price drop ever since the last 2004 double bandwidth upgrade? This is the direct effect of a monopoly and lack of government intervention. Telekom, the parent company of TMnet, controls the nationwide telephone lines and refuses to let any companies use their line. Our government does not have the commitment or strength to pull a big corporation to its knees.

Our broadband services are a laughing stock compared to neighboring countries. Never before has a broadband service remained stagnant for 3 years with absolutely no change in price or bandwidth. In fact, our uploaded bandwidth actually drops with silence in the general media. Bloggers and frustrated users don't have the energy to go up against one of the biggest corporation in Malaysia and have long given up. This is the death of broadband in Malaysia.

I went to the KL PCfair recently.

So, I was squatting at the sidewalk going through all the flyers I've received to find which 1 I should throw and what promo I should check out again.

Then, this small/cute girl came and squat beside me trying to talk to me in some Cantonese gibberish. I know a little Cantonese but can't understand what this girl is saying. So, after she finished saying a lot of things, I told her I don't understand Cantonese in Mandarin.

In between these events, she said "Don't worry, I'm not an Ah Long".

So, she said she also know Mandarin in a heavy China accent, which I believe is fake. Her Mandarin become more local afterwards. Anyway, she ask me some question about why I'm here and if I'm looking for something. I answered all her questions and she keep talking to me about stuff, forgot d. I think she was trying to sell something to me in a polite way? Not being pushy and wanting to know what I want/need. If it matches, then maybe she will try sell me those things.

Then, she went off to find her friends. Awhile later, she passed by, noticed me and said "Wo dui ni you ee see" which means I have something for you or some feelings, dunno how to interpret.

I saw her again later, so I passed a piece of paper with my HP no on it. She looked at it, smile and left.

Got a call from her at night. She asked me whether she can come stay at my house hesitantly. I say OK and she took LRT to my house. I have 2 mattress so she sleep on the other 1.

Don't get me wrong but I feel lonely lately and so I went over and hug her from behind. She still haven't sleep but pretending to. We stayed like that for 1 hour. Then we slowly started making out and had sex till morning. Then, we sleep naked while hugging each other.

Then, I went back to Penang. The next week, which is last weekend, she called and said she's at bus station and ask me to fetch her. So, she came, we make love and she went back.

Also, when we walk together or at home, we barely talk about each other. We just seemed happy around each other and enjoy the little time we had together before she went back KL. Seemed like we just understand and respect each other and like nothing could go wrong. Oh, and we didn't call or sms each other after that but I plan to turned up at KL this weekend and then ask her out, like she did.

So, do you think there's any possibility of this turning into a real relationship?

My 1st Year in Uni
I befriend a shy/cute girl. When I found out that she has a BF, I didn't take more interest in her. Her BF is studying in Australia, BTW.

After a few months, she started to get emo and liked to be alone. I wanted to ask her what's wrong but decided against it as I thought her BF will handle her.

Then, some weeks after, she told me her BF left her for another girl in Aus. Since then, we become even closer and I helped her a lot and accompany her when she's alone. We spend a lot of time together.

Fast forward to one day, I went to KL to get her favourite manga(Gravitation) at Kinokuniya. BTW, Gravitation is a shounen-ai or male gay manga. I probably intend to ask her to be my GF when I gave her the manga the next day. The next day I tell her I wanted to give her something and asked her to go to my house. She rejected that idea and refuse to go to my house. Being a bit desperate, I keep ask her to go. After awhile, I got pissed and went back home.

The next day, I put the manga paperbag beside her without saying anything. She asked me immediately where is the receipt. I said inside the bag. She looked at it and said she would pay me. Then, I said "It's a present." She didn't say anything and paid me the next day. From that day on, we didn't talk much or stayed close to each other anymore.

Then, I got myself a GF for 2 years. I broke up with that GF recently. I called her(not my GF) up and we talked for 4 hours like old friends. I asked a lot of personal questions like whether she ever liked me. She said she did but that was a long time ago. She said I'm a very good friend to her because I helped her a lot and accompany her a lot too. It could have became more if we didn't fight. She said I was being pushy at that time. And she also said "Whether as a friend or something more, I don't like pushy." We hang up and sort of had our friendship back. She also asked me to not expect anything more now.

The next day, I SMS her a lot. When she didn't reply for some time, I sms "Staring at the phone hoping for a reply." She replied and asked me not to expect more. I started being emo because I just broke up with my GF. We replied emotionally and I tried calling her and she wouldn't pick up the call. I kept sms her after that day and she never reply since. I also call her everyday around 2 times and she ignore my calls.

Recently, I sms her sarcastically "Thanks for being a great friend. I won't bother you again."

Now, I just wanted us to go places other than the uni campus. We never went out of the uni campus, except got 1 time she went to my house to watch anime. My house quite far away, 400meters. I asked her to go watch Harry Potter before and she also rejected me. I would like my best friend and potential GF to go to my house or went shopping or movies together. She doesn't do that. I kept asking her and she thinks that this is being "pushy". Maybe because I loved her a lot and wanted her in my life, I asked her to do things like these. These are what normal couple do.

And since I helped her a lot and give up my own time to accompany her, I think I deserve some help and company from her as well. I'm not asking for much. Go watch movie, go outside campus, go my house. How is that being pushy? I still have feelings for her although I disliked her for being like this. BTW, this happened before but that is another story.

Don't you think she is gaining everything from this friendship and not giving much back? All her new friends are my friends, she was never alone and always has me helping her doing a lot of things.

Any comment? I'll be seeing her a few months from now. And my current plan is to sit near her and try to talk to her and be friends back. Oh, BTW, I confessed my love through sms when I was emo also.

Lost and Found My Student Card, Continue Use?

I was from MMU. Lost my student card and applied for a new one.

When I graduated, I surrendered back the student card.

Now, I found back my lost student card. Thinking of whether to throw it or not, I figure out that I can still use the card to get student privileges like cheaper cinema tickets, food promo or any other promo available to students. All they ever do is look at the photo and verify it is a true student card. Even if they suspect something, they best they can do is check your IC to verify that it really is you(if you looked very old already)

Now, the question is should I use it or should I be a good adult and throw it away?

But I heard that I need a lawyer and secretary to handle some registration part. I quote it below.

However, I've seen companies that help form Sdn. Bhd charging around RM2000 only to start. There should have a RM3000 fee to register my business. Which one is true?

What's Wrong with Rear-Projection TV?

I've been looking at some Samsung DLP rear-projection TV.

General Specifications:

178degree viewing angle

10000:1 contrast ratio

price below RM5k

has thickness of only 40cm at the back

very thin bezel

56" to 61" screen

doesn't use bulb anymore, now uses LEDs that last for a lifetime

not as heavy as some would think

Most importantly, you get 1080p for that price, WTF?

What is there not to like? What's the problem with these new DLP rear-projection TV that Malaysian don't buy them? Why aren't them available to us? It's not listed on Samsung's website.

Will someone enlighten me why I can't get these locally and why people don't buy them?
