My company is a traditional M&E contractor, we would like to venture into Green Energy and Technology. I've discover Green Energy Expo & Forum which i've missed this year's event in July but i will definitely be going on the upcoming March 2019 Expo.

We are looking to venture more into EV, battery, GBI etc.

May i know if there's any more Exhibition or Event that i can attend to catch up on this matter? Your guidance and experience are much appreciated.

Scanner with OCR software

Hi guys, i am not sure if this is the correct place to as this question.

Because i have no idea on both hardware and software (but i guess this issue is more software prone)

I am looking for a Scanner that comes with good OEM software (i.e canon/hp) with OCR capability to scan and convert the file into Excel sheets for calculation.

I have heard there are "real" OCR scanner on the market and i am really confused, isn't it a software thing.

Please enlighten me.

Astro multiple display setup

Hi guys, so i have this setup that i would need some clarification.

so here is the summary of the system,

Astro>RCA>Splitter box>unknown cable with T joint>2 TVs

i would like to extend it to reach one more projector, to be as below

Astro>RCA>Splitter box>unknown connection>2 TVs + Projector

but the splitter was as shown in the photo, and im not very sure how to deal with it.

Maybank ATM dispense less money

I withdraw money from my Maybank account using Maybank ATM at Monash 12AM+- today (10/4/2015).
i withdraw RM1000 which the machine should dispense 20 pieces of RM50.

Then i fold the money and continue to other place.
once i get back to home, i realize it just dispense 18 pieces of RM50 (RM900) instead of 20 pieces, which is RM100 short of what i've withdraw.

anyone experience it before? pls help.

DVI & R/L audio input issue on tv

Issue:
recently i got a new TV, i am trying to connect a media PC to a LED TV via HDMI.
while the old LCD are able to input from two different source (different video connection and audio connection) at the same time with the method of connection listed below.
the new one are unable to stream the same way as the old TV

Video connection:
GPU's DVI port -> DVI to HDMI -> TV

Audio connection:
PC's Audio output( 3.5mm jack) -> 3.5mm to RCA Audio L/R (Red and White) converter -> TV

Old TV: some first gen Toshiba TV
New TV: Samsung's series 5 smart TV

Is there ways to set the TV in order to input from the analog RCA and HDMI at the same time?

or is there some device that can be used to convert both the DVI and RCA to HDMI for the video+audio HDMI input?
i came across a device like this: DVI & R/L Stereo Audio to HDMI® Converter

may i know is the device the best solution? can i find it in Lowyat? roughly how much is the device?

Hi, any hilux n60 owner here? im looking for a sub RM30k 03-04 Hilux 2.5 D4D SR TURBO (AT), would like to ask about the:

-vehicle reliability
-vehicle drivability around town and busy place like damansara uptown/kajang town, drivability for long journey, like getting from one state to another.
-spare parts availability
-maintenance of the vehicle
-commonly known problem or commonly fault issue
-modifications, steel bumper, rock slider, snorkel.
-does it use the 2KD-FTV (without intercooler, 101hp version)
-i saw 2 models avail. are there 2 version? from what i've seen the hi-lo gear lever are absent in some automatics 2.5 SRs. It have the smaller gear lever for manual gearbox and some automatics (which place next to the AT gear selector), but some automatics don't have the smaller gear lever.

comment and advice will be much appreciated.

i know asking like this is pretty much spoon feeding. fyi, i've been doing research on this car for some time on the internet but user review is limited and i would love to get more up close and personal with real owner/ex-owner/experts to get more accurate data and information regarding the specific model i'm looking for.

Windows Firewall not functioning

Windows firewall is off and I need to "Update Firewall Settings". When I click use recommended settings, I get a message that says it "can't change some of your settings. Error code 0x80070424" I get the same thing when I click on "Turn Windows Firewall on or off" and "Restore Defaults"

When I click on "Advanced Settings" I get "There was an error opening the Windows Firewall with Advanced Security snap-in" followed by it "failed to load. Restart the Windows Firewall service on the computer you are managing. Error code 0x6D9."
