Hello!

Recently i've been thinking about trying to earn some extra income, and one of the ways is to buy stuff in bulk and resell online. Stuff like power banks, selfie sticks, car chargers etc.

Plenty of forums to resell online eg. Mudah, Carousell, Lazada, as well as social media like Facebook and Instagram.

I've also heard stories of people making 5-figure incomes just doing this..

I know i'm late to the bandwagon, people have been doing this 10 years ago.

Just wonder if any kopitiam-ers willing to share their experience doing this? Anyone doing this full-time in fact?

I currently work full-time, but i need some extra income due to personal reasons.

Much appreciate any sharing by sifus

Hi guys,

My gf is a member of Fitness First Damansara Uptown. Recently they have decided to move to Paradigm Mall, and she decided not to continue with them.
They have very "graciously" waived the penalty for cancellation, but still insist on charging one month's membership fee to cancel.

In the first place, they are the one who are moving, and yet they want to charge us one month's fees? It's not a big amount, but i can't stand the principle.

Anyone else experience this? Or any thoughts on this?

Appreciate it, thanks.

Neighbourhood shopping malls

Hi /k, what do you all think about older, neighbourhood shopping malls such as Amcorp Mall, Subang Parade, Summit USJ, Leisure Mall etc? With the opening of mega-malls like Mid Valley and Pavillion, its getting harder for these malls to attract customers. But they still have enough visitors such as office workers/ families who live nearby.

If one wanted to rent a pushcart/kiosk, would you choose the neighbourhood mall with lower rental rates, or pay premium rental for a kiosk in mid valley? What do you think these neighbourhood malls can do to improve their image?
First Job

Hi guys, just want to survey what your experiences in the working world have been like the first few years. Or more specifically, your first ever job out of graduation.
I will be graduating end of this year, and looking to start full-time employment in Jan 2012.

Now as i'm in the job-hunting phase, i realise that there are some jobs that are extremely coveted, such as HSBC's management trainee jobs etc. I've sent out my resume to all the MNCs that i know have management trainee programs and keeping my fingers crossed.

The question is, should i hold out and maybe waste months waiting for these long shots? Or should i take a job which is easier to get and just get the experience? Some people i meet tell me the first job is very important, while some say it doesn't really matter, can jump ship afterwards.

Opinions please!
