Mugabe: my opponents can ‘go hang’ themselves

In his first speech since being reelected on July 31, Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe dismissed allegations that the election was rigged, saying his opponents could “go hang” themselves.

"Those who lost elections may commit suicide if they so wish,” he said in a speech given for Heroes’ Day, an annual commemoration of Zimbabweans who lost their lives in the country’s fight for independence. “Even if they die, dogs will not eat their flesh.”

"We will never go back on our victory. We do not know what is retreating," Mugabe said, according to CNN.

“We are delivering democracy on a platter. Will you take?" Mugabe said, addressing his critics in the West. "We say take it or leave it. We will never go back on our victory."

Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai and his Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) party have accused Mugabe and his ZANU-PF party of stealing the election by bribing village leaders with food, turning away 900,000 voters and threatening villagers with harm if they voted for MDC, among other shady moves.

MDC has filed an appeal challenging the election results with Zimbabwe’s Constitutional Court, delaying Mugabe’s swearing in for a seventh term. The appeal asks for the election to be declared void and for a new election to be scheduled within 60 days.

The nine-member court is expected to examine the complaint this week and make a decision within two weeks.

Hi Cupid's Corner,

I have been dating with this girl for around six months now. We've turned really close although she seems adamant on not labelling it.
We spent a lot of time together, much to the chagrin of her and my friends. Judging from what her friends say, she really digs me (the feeling is mutual, I really dig her )

Recently we got into a fight, coincidentally right in the middle of our exams. We settled that issue easily enough but she suddenly got into the question
of what'll happen in the future. We're in our last year of A-Levels and probably aren't going to the same university let alone the same country. I was looking
for an LDR, asking her to give it a shot. I know the chances for a successful aren't that high and I recognize the merits of her fears. She on the other hand gave
me an ultimatum, either we end it now or we slowly let it fade away.

We didn't exactly reached a consensus.

So she tried doing it the hard way, trying to force me to let go by telling me she hates me and generally making things as uncomfortable as possible. I didn't budge, I told her I wouldn't give up on it.
Then I confessed why, I told her I loved her.

Yeah, I know. Wrong move. But I felt if it was going to end, I might as well let go of the baggage. Didn't work for me and we haven't been talking to each other. A friend of mine
told me that I'm still a big part of her life and she still wants to be close friends.

So yeah, Wat do ?

So she's a classmate of mine that I really don't really talk much too but we recently started bonding when we went for OBS. Since then we have been skyping next to every night and she's even been the one starting the conversation lately. Therein lies the problem I guess, am I giving her too much attention ?
