hi all,

I'd been using SE P990 & my wife is using SE Z750 (pink) for almost 1.5 years now, and we sort of looking for replacement sets(again, i'm the one who is quite particular bout these things and my wife just tagging along .

anyways, i was thinking of going for SE GE900 and SE GE700 (for my wife). my preference is a smartphone (5mg cam & GPS is not a must but highly prefer). as for the Z750 replacement, with bit of feminine look with a must have 3G & 5M cam.

I'm ok with SE but wish its processor is much faster (that's the doubt on GE900 base on P990 experience) . so i'm keeping my option open for any brand really, samsung looks great these days but too many models and i dont have any idea which is the latest and its specs-same thing with lg. nokia, well not much of nokia fan but like i said, dont mind shifting. as long the brands has two models that suitable for me and of course my wife (much easier to travel when using the same hand phone brand...reduce the logistic with compatibility heh)

I was thinking of going straight to the recomm page for the advise, but i'm havent keep-up-to date with the latest handphone tech-thus bit like kena reset on handphone knowledge aaa.

budget wise, if bleh maintain under 3k for the 2 sets wud be bonus aaa, but if above dat still can be consider aaa.

thanx in advance and really appreciates any reply on the above matter,

cheers everyone

Do you really need a sound card?

Hi all,

Out of curiousity, do you really need a soundcard for gaming? Understandable that the build-in soundcard from the graphic card (or mobo-not too sure) is good enough for gaming but would there be a real major difference (to the point its worth it to purchase it) to have a dedicated soundcard install in your rig? (especially when your speaker is 2+1 or u'll be using headphone too sometimes)

appreciate the opinions.

- just got my new rig and thinking wat's else should i put into it...

RFP (or Q for suppliers) for gamer's desktop

hie y'all,

Overview : The situation permits me to be gamers again but i'm bit behind with pc tech these days need your help here.

objective : would like to have pc that is powerful enough to handle the latest games.

Software : basically,i wanna use the pc just for games and nothing else. Main software, FSX, HALO 3, Warcraft 3 etc...

hardware : here's the problem, all these new motherboards, graphic cards, ram, PS etc.... is making me confuse and i'm not really interested to start
learning all of them just so i can play the games...so really appreciated if you guys can provide your opinions or proposals....again the
objective is just for games, not really interested with other capability. Highly appreciated if you guys could provide your proposals in full
package, from chipset to casing (btw, speaker, monitor, mouse, keyboard and other external stuffs are not required...got those already,
i'm only missing the main engine). prefer to have with the latest specs (so i dont have to do any upgrade for bout 1 year and still able to
handle the software without pissing myself off)

budget : RM3000 to RM 5000 (of course the lower the better but mind going further up a bit if the offer seems irresistible)...this is just for personal
use, not really into tournament etc...so no need to go to max, mid range would be gud enough i presumed.

RFS : plan to do the purchasing between 2nd Jan to 5th Jan.

Remark : Already checked Dell XPS 420 desktop, but figure you guys can provide something that is much better specs with lower price. Dont really mind going for second hand item (or parts) as long as its still up to date and have some sort of warranty.

Appreciate to have your view & opinions.

For suppliers or whoever that can sell me this thing, please provide me with the quotation to aight.
