Hi everyone.

I'm wondering if you all know of any company or organisation or services offered by nutritionists to assess our health condition and then come up with a diet plan or list of foods to eat/avoid?

My family members all have various conditions like diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol. Despite general advices to avoid and cut down certain foods, I want to be able to consult a professional about it and come up with a specific or personalised diet plan.

Other than hospitals, who else can I consult? And any recommendations of where to look? I've tried Google but came up with nothing..

Sulfur allergy

Hey all.

I've recently been told by my doctor that I have sulphur allergy. Meaning I cannot take drugs containing sulphur. This is because everytime my doctor prescribes me an antibiotic that contains sulphur, I'll run a high fever instantly.

Does anyone have this? I've tried googling but I don't see any information. I'd like to know what common drugs I should avoid. And if anyone experiences similar side effects or more.

Hey all, I need help here.

I have this very bad phobia of snakes. It's not that I have had any bad experiences with snakes before, in fact I've never been near a real live snake before (because I always run far far when I see one from half a km away).

Everytime I see a picture of a snake I will immediately THROW/FLING the picture away (eg: newspaper, books...). It's been like that since the first time I saw a picture of one (since young)..

I need help to get rid of it. I don't know how. I can't even look at a picture or talk about it (right now it's very difficult for me to type this).. but I need to overcome this because I'm going to a university campus which rears snakes in the cafeteria. How am I gonna makan everyday like this. And I'm in a science field I'm afraid I may have to deal with a live one someday.

I know snake phobia is a very common problem (read in a psychology book somewhere b4) but mine is really bad..

My dad suggested I see a psychiatrist but I don't see the need to..

Pls help..

and I ask of all forumers here to PLEASE not post a picture of a snake in this thread as a way of trying to make me 'face it'. I'll just end up smashing my laptop.

It's my first time organising a home visit for my club in university and I have no experience. I need some suggestions on what kind of activity we can do while at an orphanage/home.

Since we're going in a group, most likely we'll play a group kind of game. Any suggestions on how to "liven" up the place? Or other activities usually done while visiting a home.

Perfume

Hi, I need some advice here regarding spraying perfumes.

I don't know if there's solid proof between spraying perfume directly on your body and developing breast cancer, but I'd like to just be safe on this.

What ways would you recommend when it comes to spraying perfume? I would like to (as much as possible) avoid direct contact with chemicals especially around the underarms/chest area.

One of the ways I've read about would be to spray on your clothes, but I notice some stains after a while.

If I'm using vials, I'll dab on my wrist and neck. But since I'm using spray, spraying on my wrist and neck would be too much, I think.

Any recommendations?

Perfume

Hi all...

I'm currently using a Body Shop body mist and it doesn't last more than like 2-3 hours. Especially if I'm actively running errands around town and sweating away.

I'm looking at changing to perfume. My mom suggested that I should start with eau de toilette first instead of eau de parfume because perfumes are too strong. And I sweat heavily so if the strong smell of the perfume mixes with my sweat I'll end up smelling worse.

I'd like to ask for brand recommendations... I prefer something that smells fresh.

I'm considering Burberry, DKNY or CK.

Also, would it be better to buy over the counter or from LYN?

Hi all. I need a bit of help with my assignment. It's related to psychology. And the title of my topic is:

The help I need here is in choosing the right character.

I've read a few novels but I can't seem to find one character by which I can apply any theory to. I've considered Napolean of Animal Farm, Lord Voldemort of Harry Potter, Atticus Finch of To Kill A Mockingbird, Phantom/Erik of Phantom of the Opera.

I'd prefer to have a character from a film because due to time constraint, I don't have the capacity to read a novel over and over to analyse every bit of detail of the character. Watching a film would be much quicker and interesting. I have a few in my mind namely Grave of the Fireflies, Roscharch of Watchmen(but movie doesn't say enough about him, though), Schindler's List.

I'm not really looking into biographies unless I have no choice.

Any recommendations? The due date of my 2500-word essay is due end of August and I've got to pick a character before I can start anything.
