Hello fellow LYN peeps,

Writing all the way from Sydney right now. Took up a job of a friend's family business.
now i feel freaking homesick. The thought of doing this for the rest of my life. Its just sad ((
The job is totally different from the job description. The contract will be "fine tune" so the boss says.
I feel like a bangla in Malaysia.

I'm allowed to rant here right. i just miss this place... so so badly. and i mean malaysia.
if the job was good ok la. but its just crappy.

Hello Lyn forummers

This is quite last minute but hope can get your help.
Gonna get a desktop for my dad later, but not exactly the com genius and price wise as well

So was thinking RM2500 budget how good can I go?
And at PJ Digital Mall, not planning to go so far down KL
(also any suggested shops in PJ?

Criteria
1) must be fast, dad says : go get me something that load before he click
Laugh die me. Something fast la: work, documents, loading, etc

2) Can gaming but I don't need super high graphic maybe upto Resident Evil 6 that generation okay?
(unless its not worth it to get old one.)

3) Fan (optional)
If can duwan heat up do fast what can I do? No need those super awesome cooling system la.

Hello there

I was searching for stockbroking/trading company and came across SJ Securities Sdn Bhd. They are part of Malaysia's Association of Stockbroking Company. Nevertheless, its always better to get some insider view about the company as compared to the self-grooming on their website. So I was wondering if anyone has worked there or is working there could share a little about your view on this company; the pros & cons, culture, benefits, future, etc.

Just for the information, I'm currently in the early stages of application/interviewing so I just need to understand more before I get into the company.

IBM phone screening

I got a call from IBM today for Financial Analyst position. I only submitted my resume yesterday, didn't expect a call so soon.
So well, I was kinda nervous

So was wondering if that call meant that they are choosing applicants? or i saw some forumers say its basically to "test" your English proficiency.
Honestly, i answered all their questions but didn't think I did well enough.

i'm just wondering if anyone had the same thing before? if so, how long is it usually they will contact you again after this phone call screening?
what are the chances in this?

So, recently a friend of mine in Perth ring me up and told me he is starting a business there and he wants help from his fellow Malaysian friend.

Success or Fail of the business aside.

Should i take it?

He's helping with the visa and the if possible PR in the future. He's actually opening a child company under his uncle's current business.
It's 2,000 AUDs a month. he's also including my accommodation & transportation monthly. flying me over too.
is the deal too good to be true?

and also i'm a fresh grad only. i guess its a manager or assistant manager kind of position, he only said he needed help to start up and all the way managing.

Hello Thanks for even reading!

My laptop facing this problem initially BSOD
so i used Backtrack 5 . now i'm in backtrack but i don't really know what to do

i tried ntfsfix /dev/sda1 ... sda2...sda3 it fixed right
sda 4 onwards i suffered Error 2
so now i don't know what to do please please help me

what i'm thinking is that i have to reboot or something the partition
or maybe kill the virus the only i can boot windows back

Please! I need my laptop :S
