Islamic PL-bank wants to increase 6% to 7%.Legal?

Hi, I need advice.

Last year I took personal loan from M* bank website and as they offered 6% flat profit rate (the best I received that time), hence I have decided to take loan from them (Islamic loan).

Even the letter they sent to me mentioned that I am getting 6% profit rate.

Several months after my loan approved with no fail in payments... few days ago, I received this email stating that they wrongly gave me 6% profit rate and want to charge me 7%. Hence they want to increase the monthly payment rate and increase the Bank's Sale Price

This email serves to inform you that due to an unforeseen technical issue encountered, your M* Islamic Personal Financing-i account of RMxxxxx which was approved on xxxxx2024, was inadvertently charged a promotional profit rate of 6.0% p.a. instead of the standard profit rate of 7.0% p.a.

To rectify this, we are now seeking your kind consent to revise your financing rate from the next instalment onwards and your monthly payment will change from RMxxxx to RMxxxx with a new Bank's Sale Price of RMxxxx, effective July 2025.

In light of these changes, it is necessary to execute a new akad to reflect the updated profit rate and revised monthly instalment amount. The existing Bank’s Sale Price shall be settled by proceeds from the commodity traded and rebate granted by the bank. And I believe as it is haram in Islamic finance to change harga jualan after akad (agreement), they want me to make a new akad with them by email (or they will give me a call) so that it will be halal for them to charge me 7% instead of the agreed 6%.

My questions are
1. Can the bank force me to do new akad 7% in Islamic Finance? Sounds haram to me & it defeats the Islamic Finance principle.
2. What if the consequences of refusing the new akad? From the email, the bank don't give any options.

what is 'Cash/Margin Balance' n 'Trading Balance'?

hi, newbie here. noted in my account summary. I have done selling and buying yesterday and now my account summary shows like :

Cash/Margin Balance : RM300
Trading Balance : -RM1300

and I noticed Total Direct Buy (under Outstanding Trade Summary) is the same as Trading Balance which is -RM1300

those this means I owe the Bank RM1000?

Cannot login to YM after vista update...

Hi, need help here. I can't log in to my YM since yesterday. Diagnostic says something about https connection.

I don't do anything to my computer (dun install anything etc) except the usual vista update which I update on 9 June. checked the firewall and ym not blocked.

anyone with the same problem and anyone has the solution?

I just login (on saturday) to Public Bank Online Share Trading and notice the stocks are active. I mean got buy and sell. But when click buy, says cannot buy (of course). What is happening eh?

What is warrant n what will happen when expires?

Hello, I dont really get what is warrant. Open the internet still dont get how to play it (which is the most important part). What I understand is, it is kinda stock released by a company to raise money, and it got expiry date. Correct aa?

Main question, what will happen when warrant expires? Convert to stock?

1. If the remarks says conversion ration 2 to 1. Does it means that if I got 2 warrant shares it will converted to 1 stock of the company stock regardless the price of the warrant and stock?

2. What is premium % huh? Some say premium got something to do with conversion to stock when expire.. true?

Enlighten me please.

US visitors : US vs local webhosting, speed diff?

Hi, 80 - 90 % of my website visitors are from US. Currently using local webhosting. Local only make around 2 - 3 %.

Core questions are
1. Should I get US webhosting?
2. Is there any significant difference in terms of speed? I mean for the US visitors to load the page.
3. Is migrating website a tedious process? (My website total size less than 50mb) Can I set up everything before I change the DNS?

Side questions...
4. any other advantages using off shore server?
5. How actually our data send to US? Via satellite or optic cable below the sea?

Asking since US adsense cpc quite high. Need to be nice and care the US users. Tq.

Hi, I have heard many adsense publishers got banned because they dun follow the guidelines etc. Actually, when or what the frequency of google adsense representative checking our website to make sure we follow all the TOS? Anybody knows?

Achievable? Not possible.

I love adsense, money and skyline. I really want to buy one and planned to buy one someday (if got enough money) using passive income from adsense.

So better document it on blog. Will it be a history? Who knows. Whatever it is, I got something to write and surely will love to update.

Do I need to upgrade to 3G sim card?

Hi, just wondering.

Last week, I subscribed celcom daily broadband 4 the first time
- it works using my sony ericsson k700
- since k700 dun support 3g, speed kinda slow, gprs
- so prev 3 days I bought samsung l700, 3g supported

but now just wondering
- i am using x pax U pack
- do I need to upgrade to celcom 3g simcard to enjoy the speed?

I can't test it coz dun have enough credit. *
besides, now im at home, got streamyx. dun want to waste money also. plan to use celcom broadband at U later.

Does my website helpful to reduce the no of smoker

I was listening to music when suddenly I got an idea to make this website, which predicts smokers' lifespan. Some sort of 'tak nak' campaign but in a more effective way because I believe, pictures of people covering their mouth with their hands as well as bent cigarettes won't give any effects on smokers.
