There are a lot of Scams going on in the internet and via phone calls.
Many people are aware and been taught not to give out OTP in any occurrences.

But if Customer Service staff from legit telco line asking for OTP to verify customer's validity, whether to giver or not to give out OTP?
Is this wrong protocol or staff corrupted?

Scammer Alert in email send by legit @curtin.edu.my to my inbox at gmail raise my concern and awareness to suspect it might be a spoof where it asked me to use forget password instead of login new.
Then they faked a pdf in the attachment just like the original admission of curtin university.
As I googled, original email should be admission@curtin.edu.my and fake one is admission.center@curtin.edu.my, however it is seriously hard to differentiate if being careless just a little bit.

Just to spread the words of fellow students who are applying for university, please be extra caution with every email that was sent to you. Some are legit, some are not.

I'm on the hunt for some help with server infrastructure design in Malaysia.
Looking for either:

A solid Malaysian server infrastructure company that knows their stuff when it comes to setting up server infrastructure.
or some decent online courses about server infrastructure design, bonus points if they talk about the Malaysian scene.

If you've got any recommendations, I'm all ears! I'm after:

Companies that have done good work in Malaysia before
Courses that aren't just theory, but show you how to actually do stuff
Anything that covers local rules and what works best here

Umobile Wifi Broadband Home slow

I’ve been using UMobile Home Broadband for a while now, but I’m constantly experiencing slow speeds. Despite being on a higher-speed plan, my connection never seems to go above 30Mbps, regardless of the time of day or the number of devices connected.

Here’s some info about my situation:

Speed Test Results: Consistently around 30Mbps

Troubleshooting: Restarted router, limited connected devices, tested at different times of the day

I’ve contacted UMobile support, but they haven't provided a satisfactory resolution yet. Has anyone else faced this issue? What steps did you take to fix it, if any? Or should I be considering switching providers or canceling my contract?

Local shop owners rejecting Apple Pay

Local shop owner at Sarawak have some weird trend. This is a local supermarket where the cashier rejects the use of Apple Pay although they are fully equipped with Credit Card Merchant Payment System with Pay Wave enabled. Upon questioning, she said this is "Arahan dari atas, ikut sahaja." Then I wanted to use my Credit Card then she wanted me to hand over the card to her for record in the POS as it is the company's protocol.

At the end I paid with cash..because I am afraid to be a victim of scam.

Good morning to all, this is my website developed with my dearest friend about the scamming issue that has happened over and over again by the exactly same scammers

1. check on existed account that has scamming history.
2. check on names that has scamming history.

but currently this website is not yet fully done
and the database is still not complete so i was planning to open it to all lowyat members to contribute the scammers info so we can key it in the database.
