[WTA] New Gaming Rig

Hello everyone, long time reader, first time poster here.

I am planning to build a new gaming rig and I have got a suggested build. The main purpose of this thread is to get some recommendations for possible modification to the suggested build.

Processor - Intel Core i7 920
Motherboard - Asus Rampage II Extreme
RAM - Corsair XMS3 PC-1600 DDR3 CL9 3GB
HDD - WD Black Caviar 1 TB
Graphic Card - Zotac GTX285 AMP 1GB or XFX GTX285 1GB
Casing - CM HAF 932
DVD drive - Pioneer 20x SATA
PSU - Gigabyte Odin Pro 800w

I'm leaving the option open for SLI or xfire depending on what GPU is taken. I already have a monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers, just need to build a CPU.

Is the onboard sound card with the motherboard enough or should I also include a separate sound card?
For the graphic cards, would it be better to get the nvidia ones or ATI HD4870? (I don't mind either nvidia or ati GPU's)
Are additional fans required for the GPU and the processor?

Thank you very much in advance for your time
