free weights vs machines

hi,

I just started to work out and wanted to choose a gym thats right for me. I know that the free weights vs machines debate has been going on for so long and each have their own advantages and disadvantages.

My goals are not to build a bodybuilder/competition form, just to be lean and have good muscle definition, kinda like Bruce Lee and also to lose fat (i'm at 29% body fat!shame on me!).

My problem is two gyms near my place is a bit different from each other. One have wide range of machine but have little space and facilities for free weights (not even a power rack). On the other hand the other has like half the amount of machines but a wide area for free weight training and good facilities for it.

I can't join both so what do you guys think? the first one or second?

external hdd for ps3

Helo all,

Happy New Year!

Tried to connect my external 120GB hdd to my ps3 via usb but my ps3 cannot detect.

I have a WD 120GB IDE 2.5" hdd in a casing. Connected via 2 usb ports. The light on the case is on but cant detect.

What to do? Should the hdd be SATA / should it be NTFS or FAT or should i do something else first?

Help please...

MX vs. ATV Untamed

merry christmas to all of forumers and a happy new year.

MX vs ATV just released. so any of you guys bought it yet?
want to get it but after reading a lot of reviews, the graphics part really turned me off.

no doubt the gameplay will be fun (been playing a lot of MX in my ps2) but now we all (hopefully hehee) got a next gen console and if the graphics doesnt showcase the machine's power, then rasa tertipu la i

so if any of you guys have any thoughts or comments on this game...feel free to share..

ps3 audio via optical (klipsh promedia)

Hi console freaks (thats a compliment hehee),

I'm on the verge of buying a PS3..yesss

I got a Klipsch promedia 5.1 system which i connect to my PC (nvdia mobo) via coaxial cable.

So if i have the optical free. can i connect the PS3 optical to the Klipsch system to get 5.1 or any sound at all?

n..one more thing. i know this has been threads abt this. but mines a little different.
i'm going to connect my lcd (samsung 226bw) to the PS3. is there any difference in quality in using generic (kira cap ayam la) hdmi-dvi than branded like Monster cable? kalau no difference tu, save sikit duit kan.
