I'd like to go to Jalan Pasar to look for some karaoke system & stuffs. Usually on weekdays, what time do the shops open & close? What are the opening hours on Saturday & Sunday?

multi-colored vertical lines on lcd

hi,

my screen recently has this problem where it has these vertical lines appearing.

has anyone encountered this before? and if so, what's the problem, where can i take it for repair & approx. how much will it cost?

i've taken it to sony service centre and the girl said i should change the lcd, and will cost rm1200(lcd) + rm600(labor) - which is ridiculous i might as well buy a new laptop.

does anyone know where else i can take my laptop for repair? it's a 2-year old Vaio SR25G btw.

any help is appreciated. thanks :)
