Been a few years since there was any drama at all in my neighborhood.

Tonight it happened and things escalated quick.

At 10pm there was this commotion coming fr a nearby neighbor's house

Some context...House owner stays in another state. Rents out to about 6 guys who fr what i observe work as delivery riders.

These guys macam ok la. go out in d mornings come back at night with their bikes. Some noise in d weekends. usually just chatting n laughing. they are in their 20s

Tonight it was different. First heard a guy talking loudly outside d house which was all locked up, lights off.

Loud talking continued on for 10 mins. I popped out to have a look. Guy was talking to someone on the phone.

Minutes later few more guys showed up and opened the house door. Lights turned on and they were dragging a guy in...straight drew the curtains. Thought murder/torture session.

Just b4 curtains drawn, one guy was punching a cupboard. Then calm.

Shouting again and two guys were punching each other. Escalated quickly. Fighting continued outside house on road. Some tried to stop d fight some joined in. About 8 guys total.

Then they left in a car but stopped just down the road. Calm again.

Then 2 bikes and a car stopped by...6 guys appear and could hear helmets smashing against car sounds. Shouting, smashing, running, bikes revving up. Went quiet again.

Another bunch of guys who i recognize as the tenants appear and go in the house. Situation is tense again. Dramatic shouting on phones and with each other start. Gate and front door are wide open.

Cops arrive with sirens n lights. By this time the tenants are all inside and must have saw the cops. They disappear thru the back door i think.

Cop armed with MP5 move in and check the garden. Other cop takes d car n goes to back lane to check. They make a second round but tenants r nowhere to be seen. Maybe hiding in rooms. cops do not go in cos no warrant. Cops leave.

House gate and door open wide. Lights all on. No one in sight.

30 mins go by and someone appears and drive car away. Another guy takes a bike and speeds off.

I just had a look. House now all locked up. Lights all off.

What the fook just happened ?

Phone Line Macam Got Prob

I been full WFH since mid April and most of the time its WiFi instead of data.

In mid July I noticed that when I go out and my phone no longer connected to WiFi, my mobile data doesn't kick in.

It was stressful and noticed this when I went for my first dose. Tiba2 can't connect to mySejahtera for vaccination.

restarted my phone and it was all good.

Everything seems alright for few weeks.

Then on Monday colleagues had prob calling me. I will receive missed call SMS like 10 hrs after the missed call.

Today morning was about to pay for phone bill when the OTP code could not come in. Restarted phone and OTP codes SMS all come in.

One solution I see if to turn on my mobile date every few days or restart phone every few days.

But isn't there a setting or something I can to solve my line issue ?

FYI I pay my Maxis phone bills on time.

Tomorrow I need to go office a while and my route needs me to use the Federal highway.

I got permission letter but if still got the Federal road block, there will be jam so I need to plan my journey time.

I have never been to one before.

But I hear stories of aunties fighting for food and taking stuff like toilet paper and cutleries home. Also the tapau culture at these events. One person tapau food for 10 ppl.

How was it like at these AGMs (pre Covid) ?

Are the stories of those aunties fighting over food and door gifts true ? or were they just exaggerations ?

Ex colleague is female and was my boss.

Pasal power bank actually.

Bought a Pineng PN962 fr Lazada on Sunday. Yesterday Tuesday already arrived.

Looks like ori coz got QR code to check authenticity

Looked all good and was 40% full. So I test by charging my phone...all good. Power level turn until 16%.

So overnight I charge for around 8 hours.

But power level seems stuck at 99%. So earlier I charged my phone for 30mins...power bank level went down to 94%.

Then I charged it again to see if it hits 100% or not...

Right now...hour n half later power level is at 99% and still charging...the "IN" indicator on the power bank screen still flashing.

Is there something wrong with my Pineng ?

How different is it fr an interview ?

does this mean its just a preliminary type of interview with a formal interview to follow ?

The previous interviews I have been to have all been formal with HR first or with hiring manager or both.

Malay names for G.Town & B'Worth

Historian wants George Town, Butterworth replaced with original Malay names

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 6 ― Local Malay historians, academicians and non-governmental organisations (NGO) have urged Unesco, National Heritage Department and the state government to change George Town and Butterworth back to their original names.

Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Centre for Policy Research and International Studies (Cenpris) faculty member Prof Datuk Dr Ahmad Murad Marican said that George Town' original name was Tanjong and Butterworth's original name was Bagan.

"The name proves that the Malay community has been here even before Francis Light came and by acknowledging the name, it means that the earlier history is being acknowledged as well. I hope the relevant authorities will be open to this," he said at a press conference, here today.

The name of Tanjong was changed to George Town in 1786 by Francis Light and Bagan's name was changed to Butterworth in 1800 by former Governor of Prince of Wales Island, Alexander William Leith.

"As we all know that George Town has been bestowed with the Unesco status as a city rich with history, we hope that the early part of the city's history and narrative will also be included as well," he said.

The idea to change the name had been mooted by Hashim Awang, a local assemblyman in 1958 but no follow up had been done by anyone till now.

Besides the name of George Town and Butterworth, Ahmad Murad also said that the state government could name the streets and roads according to the name of old Malay settlement founders such as Datuk Nakhoda Intan and Datuk Nakhoda Kecil.

Datuk Nakhoda Intan, or its original name Raja Nan Intan from Paya Kumbuh, Sumatera Barat had opened the Batu Uban port and built a settlement in the area in 1734 after getting approval from the Kedah sultanate, Sultan Muhammad Jiwa Zainal Abidin Muazzam Shah II.

After his arrival, his relatives, Nakhoda Bayan and Nakhoda Kecil had come to open a settlement in Bayan Lepas and Jelutong.

According to previous research done by USM, Francis Light had only arrived at the state some 52 years after they (Nakhoda Bayan and Nakhoda Kecil) had reached and till now, the Batu Uban mosque is still standing strong even though it is more than 200 years old.

Ahmad Murad who is also the president of Penang Heritage and History Society also said that the move was needed to decolonise George Town as currently the early settlement in Penang before Francis Light was not being recognised by any parties.

"It would be an honour for them as they had also contributed to the history of the state. Don't only look at the white-man's history. Look beyond it," he said. ― Bernama

My gf bday is in 2 weeks time. Wanna get her a bottle of perfume...i edi know which particular perfume to get...

She was overseas recently and there might be a chance she might have bought at duty free

Just now I test water n ask her what is her show size and she straight away told me not to buy footwear for her bday coz its pantang.
