ALRIGHT GUYS I'VE FOUND A SOLUTION TO THIS

Apparently I also have the same issue as those devices with serial# starting with 12 (mine starts with 13)

SYMPTOMS: If you have this issue, your WAN light will NOT light up when any LAN cables are plugged in

Your WAN will be disabled when performing any upgrades to 3rd party firmwares such as DDWRT or OPENWRT

Follow steps:

1- Ensure you're now using TPlink stock/original firmware, if not, flash it back. If you're on original firmware, skip to step 3
2a- Downgrade from DDWRT to stock firmware using the webrevert bin file found here
2b- Downgrade from OPENWRT to stock firmware using this file. I used the aforementioned file and flashed using WebGUI, not mtd and it worked. PLEASE note that you must NEVER flash back to stock IF your firmware filename has the word BOOT in it, or you'll brick your router!! [original guide]

3- Proceed according to this guide, where you will upgrade to the magical German firmware

4- Once you're using the German firmware, upgrade to your desired DDwrt/Openwrt, I upgraded to Openwrt and it works

I would like to know which company provides IT solutions (mainly ERP) in Malaysia/Singapore?
Many which I searched around only provide management consulting, not much IT, except for Accenture. My interest is in SAP.

iTunes draining HDD space

I notice my HDD space is getting eaten by iTunes...
Backing up already eats quite a lot.

Just now, before I restore I saw 4GB left, now I just completed the restore process and I have 300MB left...

and now its left there just like that, 300MB+ balance.. Why even restore also eat up HDD space?!
now i'm trying to change the backup directory to another partition (using symbolic links / junctions)... But if iTunes is gonna keep draining like that, that other partition would eventually be filled up in no time either...

My C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup is currently 8GB+ atm...

Why is this so ??

Sure, there's 3rd party apps but why did apple even remove it?
Even oldest and dumbest smartphones had an alarm clock & calculator...

Are there any other apps the iPad is missing from the iPhone?

Windows Unable to boot?

I think my boot file is in the wrong drive, not in the same drive as my Win7

I have 2 harddiscs, Disk 0 and Disk 1
My Windows 7 is in C:\ (Disk 0)
Drive H:\ used to be a windows XP, but i've reformatted it at the Win7 installation screen
Win XP was installed BEFORE win7

From this image below, it shows Disk0 has my 'boot'

However, when i remove Disk 1, my win7 will be unable to boot, see image below

At the win 7 installation screen, i formatted H:\ before installing win7
But it seems the boot files are still stuck there... Looks like DiskPart is lying to me

How can i move my boot files back into Disk0 (C:\) ??
I want to be able to boot without the Disk1, its about to fail and i wanna change it

If it helps, i've also set my boot priority to be the hdd in my bios

Where to download original Windows 7 Professional?

I have purchased an original serial key for Windows 7 Professional 64bit
and the site that provided me the download was slow as hell and its downloading a SDC file...

I'm going to install it onto a COMPLETELY new (still no OS) computer, so i need to burn it onto a disc...
So i'm gonna need an ISO format one...

Any idea where to download Win 7 Pro 64bit original copy??
I have the original key that will go thru official activation...

Currently i've seen these 3 specs in this forum... (click teh spoiler below)

Budget: 2.5k including all items as stated below this line
Items: CPU, Mobo, PSU, RAM, GPU, Casing (NO hdd / optical-drive / after market cooler)
Purpose: Gaming, Programming, Multitasking, High quality HD movie playback

CPU: i7 2600? I'm NOT planning to OC so i dont need the 'k' one...
Mobo: I'd like this rig to last as long as possible so i chose SandyB, socket 1155 - also USB 3, SATA 3
Ram: If budget allows, a high performance one and at least 1333mhz? And 2x2GB for dual ch? I dont see the need of more than 4gb of ram
PSU: a future-ready psu - a psu to have abit more power than what i need for my current card so upgrades in future won't need a psu upgrade
GPU: an nVidia GPU? Coz i want to also load Mac OSx (hackintosh), and i wouldn't want to spend more than 700 for my GPU, gtx470 i guess? @__@
Casing: any generic casing with a real good airflow? I currently also have 3HDDs

Currently I have 3HDDs and 1Optical, so i dont need to buy those (but just for psu power calculations)
and i use one monitor at 1920x1080 res

Any suggestions guys?

Again, i'd like to keep a GPU to be below RM700 since i feel they just outdate too fast and a waste of $
so extra money (if any) from the 2.5k budget could go to a better casing for better airflow or a new mechanical keyboard!

How to transfer files in FTP?

I have two webhostings.. Both have FTP... which i use filezilla...

ATM i can open two tabs at filezilla (two ftp connections) but i can't drag the files over... ...

How can i transfer files between those two webhostings??
I don't wanna download + upload because the files are kinda huge......
I don't wanna use scripts which require 1 by 1 file/link input as there are alot of files...

Games install in XP or Vista?

Hello...

I am using a lousy pc but upgraded Graphic card...
So i want to install some popular games like Call of Duty 4 and stuff on my pc....
i have dualbooted xp and vista ultimate... So i am wondering which OS should i install onto my pc??

Pentium 4 @ 2.8Ghz
HD3650 (AGP)
1.5 GB ram

I thought of installing in XP cuz you know... Vista eats more ram and my 1.5 may be too long and give me lags to eat
and also i'm only on a P4... i takut vista eat too much resources...

But I thinking of Vista cuz my friend said these games best run on Direct X 10

so the only reason to install in vista is DX10...
But i heard there is some unofficial DX10 for xp... how reliable is that?? I Also heard its a haox only.....??

and also........
if I install in XP, can vista run it too (means one install two OS play)???
cuz lotsa stuff like MS Office 07, msn, winamp, etc all install in XP but cant run in vista

and lastly, I dont expect to play these games at high settings at all...

Just installed Vista, now what?

I was always an Xp user and was using xp sp 2

So i just installed Vista Ultimate on a different partition... (didn't remove Xp)
and i'm wondering, is it normal to have a system rating at 1.0 ??

and is there a way to run some of my previously installed applications (from xp) to run them smoothly in vista??
For example, i have to reinstall my windows live messenger cuz i get an error when trying to start xp's WLM

what about all the other software like adobe flash? my firefox doesnt even have flash plugin...
