Bluetooth Dongle not connecting to headset

I just got a Bluetooth stereo headset Dopod HS01 with mic. This works fine with my BT handphone.

Then I also got a generic bluetooth dongle (v2.0 + EDR) to connect from my notebook to my BT headset. It doesn't work.

But my handphone with notebook works fine with this dongle.

My notebook is Windows XP SP2. It has the Microsoft BT device driver which is year 2004 version and Microsost Bluetooth enumerator, v5.1. Then I updated the bluetooth device driver for the BT dongle (from CD accompanied with the BT dongle), stated that it is a year 2007 from Darfon. CD does not have update version for BT enumerator.

After I plugged in to pair the headset and notebook, it detected the Headset after I keyed in the passkey but it cannot connect at all. In the BT windows after I clicked the BT icon, it shows the headset. Then I highlight the the headset icon and I clicked 'Properties' then clicked 'Services' nothing comes out. I think it supposed to come out some check or uncheck item boxes so that it can be use with whatever services that I want. When I connect to my handphone, the services came out a few items.

Can anyone help me to get them connected? Could there be a problem with BT enumerator? Pls help. Thanks.
