Personal review: Out of all of my audio purchases for the past decade or so, this has the best tuning out of the box. No weird peaks or dips in the frequency response.

When pairing with ESS amp dac like Earstudio HUD100, can be a bit peaky at the highs (im very senstitive to treble splash so ymmv), but pairing with RU6 is magical. Smoothen out the highs without sacrificing the detail retrieval capability. Best combo imo.

Personal review: I like it better than the rest of the HD6xx line ups (HD600 lack bass quantity and quality, HD650 bloated midbass and noticeably veiled highs, HD58x more grainy and not as resolving). HD660s has among the best imaging capability out of similarly priced headphones (sundara, etc).

Reason for sale: detailed headphones will trigger/worsen my tinnitus ringing, so going back to warm sounding headphones again :/ i accept trade in with Audeze LCD headphones (since they r generally warm sounding).

Short review: Kaldas RR1 is one of the best budget estat headphones, with many users stating that they beat out Stax lambda series like L300LE and L700 in terms of overall sound signature and balance. Detailed but not overly bright like stax. Has among the best bass for estats headphones.

This is in fact the best pair of headphones that i have purchased under rm5k, but the issues with my ears means that i need to reluctantly let it go. Please check out head-fi forum for more users’ glowing reviews n feedbacks.

Users reported that the kaldas rr1 scales well with better energizer. Srm353x is a good place to start n settle, upgrade path = kgsshv carbon energizer.

My Srm353x unit is actually my friend’s, whom I traded my ZMF aeolus with to acquire the energizer. He bought it from stars picker, so if theres any issue u can refer back to the shop with receipt provided. (Stax is known to ignore support requests for units that are bought from grey market/overseas unit)

Personal review:
iFi Zen Dac = Excellent DAC with native MQA support. Excellent build quality, doesnt require power plug. DAC performs somewhere in between iFi Nano BL and iFI Micro BL, with similar sound signature (slightly v shape, quite musical)

In comparison with R2R Airist = R2R is n shape sound signature with rolled off subbass and treble (sounded more rounded off). I think not suitable for all headphones, so pairing synergy must be taken into consideration. Like it more with my ZMF Aeolus.

Mini review: best amp under RM1k. Linear and transparent sound, with extremely low distortion. The performance is basically the same as single ended port from Massdrop THX AAA 789 but with slightly lower power (can still drive the 300ohm HD800S with relative ease). Better than Magni 3 that I used to have not too long ago. In comparison, Magni 3 has slightly boosted bass and treble, but the treble region is grainy and the volume pot produces scratchy sound when turning the knob.

Short review:
My fav closed back (semi closed back actually) headphones of all time. Addictive bass, extended highs, mids not too recessed unlike the massdrop TRX00. Overall a U-shape sound signature.
HUGE soundstage (just a tad short in comparison with HD800S, but much bigger than Sendyaudio Aiva), better imaging than HD800S. I like gaming on these more than HD800S. Lots of detail, almost on par with either HD800S and Aiva.
Genre pairing: almost everything. Both HD800S and Aiva excels in jazz and orchestra, but none of them can do modern songs.

The dekoni lambskin earpads manage to tame the highs a lil bit, which is therefore an upgrade for TH900. The earpads cost almost rm300 alone.

FYI I sold the Aiva because I like TH900 more. The HD800S is my friend's but I prefer TH900 more for all purposes listening.

The company is countersuing a comedian who says he was stiffed on his prize after being named the "funniest person in the world" as part of a global contest run by the famous Hollywood venue.

The Laugh Factory is countersuing a Malaysian comedian who says he was stiffed on his prize after being named the "funniest person in the world" as part of a global contest run by the famous chain of comedy clubs.

Harith Iskander in December sued the company, claiming he wasn't given the full $100,000 cash prize and U.S. comedy tour that he was promised.

Now, Laugh Factory is not only denying that it breached any obligation to Iskander, but is also suing him for stealing its trade secrets.

While Iskander says he was approached about competing in the contest, Laugh Factory owner Jamie Masada says it was the comedian who initiated contact. According to the cross-complaint, Iskander contacted a Laugh Factory representative asking about bringing the brand to Asia and also inquiring about the competition.

Later, Iskander approached Masada, offering to open Laugh Factory clubs in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Jakarta, and claimed Najib Razak, the former prime minister of Malaysia, was his silent partner, according to a Feb. 27 filing. They ultimately agreed to a joint venture to expand the brand in Asia, but it was never executed or formalized, and now Masada says it was all a scam.

"Iskander never intended to honor this agreement; rather, it was a deceit designed to gain access to and then misappropriate Defendants’ protected, proprietary intellectual property, including trade secrets, trademarks, business operations, and other intellectual property," writes attorney David Martin in the filing, which is posted in full below.

With regard to the contest prize, Masada claims he told Iskander in writing that the winner of the competition "must make ten scheduled trips to the United States" to perform and that the $100,000 prize was to be paid in ten installments that were conditioned on those appearances.

Laugh Factory claims he failed to meet the performance obligation and that he cheated to win.

The company is suing for trademark infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract, unfair competition and intentional interference with prospective economic advantage. Laugh Factory is asking the court for at least $10 million in compensatory damages, plus a disgorgement of Iskander's profits and punitive damages.

Personal review: Best headphones under RM1k. No question about it. No high end amp is required. Something decent like Magni 3 is more than enough. The best HD6-- series from Sennheiser imo in terms of tonal balance. HD650 has better vocal warmth but sucks at everything else. HD600 has better highs but sucks at everything else. HD58X is the jack of all trades. Deserving the rave reviews from other users and reviewers due to the stupidly cheap price (kinda kills the much more expensive HD660S lineup in terms of overall value)
