Condo Water leak repair pictures

Some pictures of how bad the damage can be when you have water leaks in the condo.

The condo is about 8 years old.

The workmanship of the baths were /are very bad.
-The tiles had gaps , i.e. cement did not fully cover the tile.
- Grouting was not the same level as the tiles, hence the water collects and seeps to the bath floor.

For the above the impact is not matter how good the waterproofing is the leaks will develop on the unit below.

I was looking at options to resolve this but finally decided to hack. I am actually conned to pay for this job, so please don;t ask how much I am paying for this. Stresses me out.

1.Master bed room leak

This leak is round 2 , the first time around the management still under the developer pumped the PU to resolve. Only worked for about a year before round 2 of leaks occurred. The owner from the above unit was delaying and the management office were dumb fools not following up with appropriate actions.

Since I could not take it any longer I decided to pay and look at any options I have to recover the cost. Don't know if it is even possible.

2. Bathroom water marks

3. Water pooling after hacking
> The damage of water seepage over 8 years.
> No way to resolve if no hacking is done

4. Cement absorbing water

The contractor has asked to leave the cement for a day or so that the water will be absorbed by the cement. This should stop the leaks faster.

I will update the post on how long it takes for the water to stop dripping.

RFQ and questions - waterproofing bath

Hi All,

I am looking to fix a water leak in my master bed room.

The leak is from the floor above. This is the 2nd occurrence of leak the first leak appeared about 2-3 years ago was fixed by injecting PU into the ceiling.

The latest occurrence was about 8-9 months ago , progressively getting worse.

I have a few questions.

1. When you have a leak how do you determine if its is due to the leaking pipe?

2. If the leak is due to waterproofing, how does it leak? Does it "overflow" over the existing water proofing layer?

3. If the waterproofing is working (as in no leaks), where does the water that gets absorbed thru the bath floors go to ?

4. Are there any dye's we can use to detect leaks thru concrete?

5. anyone use the PYE GROUT SEALER before? Did it work?

To those in the business please send me a PM so you can send me a quote for my request below.

Can you provide a quote for the following.

1. To apply waterproofing / chemical like PYE GROUT SEALER .

This would include all the necessary actions required to make sure the PYE GROUT SEALER spray on solution to have a better success.

2. To water proof the bath .

-This will include placing a waterproofing layer on top of existing tiles.

- The waterproofing to include only the floor area .

- Please provide the tile cost as a line item.

3. To water proof the bath

This will involve hacking to confirm if there are leaks from piping within the bath area.

This will include placing a waterproofing layer on top of existing tiles.

Please provide the tile cost as a line item.

Let me look at the future cost implications before deciding on the option.

The Bath layout is included.
