I used to be very active in reddit.... lowyat forum.... gamespot...

But as the days passes... I macam no longer wanna be involved in forums liao...

15+ years ago... I most active in gamespot....

then 10+ years ago... started reddit when it got popular....

lowyat forum... I got most active 5+ years ago... even if no post... also will read topics at /k/everyday without fail...

but since early this year... macam also less access to /k/even just to browse.... mostly during holidays or weekends... but at times totally no access /k/ for weeks...

I think it might be time liao.... time has come that forum surfing will be a thing of a past for ayam...

anyone feeling the same??

These days.... any software you can find.... confirm comes with yearly or monthly subscription... somemore sibeh expensive.... min yearly subscription no less than 50USD even for simple video editing software...

Gone were the days where you just purchase the software you want and use it...

Saw quite a number of my ex-colleagues... ex-uni mates and ex- school mates migrated from Malaysia...

But they all migrated to places like Cambodia... Laos...

Thailand... Indonesia... Vietnam... still not so bad but why places like Cambodia and Laos??? You don't add much value to your resume cause that is like downgrade working in 3rd world... the only benefit is maybe for the experience living in a new environment but then again it is still south east asia so not much difference...

Singapore would be the best choice in terms of moving to first world cause it adds value to resume but you don't gain environmental experience since SG is basically the same like working in another state in Malaysia...

If can... go Taiwan... Hong Kong... Macau... Japan... Korea... Australia.... adds value to resume + new environment experience...

Hawker is bad enough... increasing on average at least RM0.50 twice a year for the past 5 years....

But the most cut throat price increase in Malaysia I notice is Hair Salon....

Just visited subang lately for a hair cut.... pukimak the starting price for a male cut is RM50 for Junior Hairstylist... that is not even those super fancy salon but just any shop salon...

Apa lanjiao??? 5 years ago before MCO it was RM25 on average... now it is RM50 as starting price.... even those EZ cut starts at RM25 and they simply hire people to cut hair...

100% price increase in just 5 years!!!

SG salon on average now only SGD25... the price gap after exchange is so small considering SG cost of living so high....

Seriously.... cut hair for less than 30min charge RM50.... cost super low since only electricity + rental.... the only additional material recurring cost that has no additional charge is only hair wax...

These people earning super abnormal profit margin...

I notice something when Malaysian resign....

Their resignation letter and farewell letter always ends with their personal contact and telling the company to not hesitate to contact him/her if they need help in the transitioning after they have left or even help in work related

If you see ang moh version... especially Australians.... they don't give A SHIT about their past company after they left.... and they will literally ignore you if you call them and ask work related stuff..... if you see their farewell message.... if they put their personal contact... it will always follow up by relationship building or to call them up for a coffee or lunch... never shit like "ohh... I will help make my ex-company better"....

And you know what's funny?? Malaysian employer actually take that you will help them note seriously...

I know one of my colleague... after joining new company for 1 month.... still kena call by old company about work stuff....

1 guy I know even kena ask from ex-boss to prepare excel worksheet after he left the company....

Also.... if you compare ang moh countries and Malaysia..... ang moh notice period is literally honey moon free money period....

The staff just need to handover the tasks during the period and has very little to do... they normally take the notice period time to pack their stuff.... give some guidance to existing staff.... go here and there to chit chat... go out drink coffee with clients...

In Malaysia.... most company I know notice period = work like any other day.... chibai notice period submitted the company still take their sweet time to hire... existing staff weren't even bothered to take on extra work and still expect the period serving notice to work like normal...

Some during notice period still work OT.... really WTF these people....

They thought they are giving good impression but the company actually don't give 2 fucks about you small potatoes... no matter how good you do... people still talk behind your back....

If you guys notice.... even when the best worker left... the existing staff will also talk shit about that fella and blame that fella when something goes wrong or even when they dunno how to handle the shit by saying the fella who left didn't do correctly on this or that cause they just needed a scapegoat.... so why even bother to work so hard during notice period???

I don't get it... how so many people can fall for job scam...

Isn't the biggest red flag that the job oversea is a scam when they can't even issue you a proper work visa???

If they want you to enter the country via tourist visa.... isn't that already obvious enough to tell you that the job is not legal???

Seriously... I'm not talking about having to thoroughly vet the company background... or be overly alert with the "too good to be true" offer... most of the time... it should be lucrative cause otherwise who would want to work overseas???

All you need to know is... if they cannot issue you a proper working visa... it is already a scam job...

I think the video explain why many can't get a job overseas...

Saw a lot of posts asking why is it so hard to get a job in SG....

But at the same time... saw so many ketards posting going to SG must demand 1:1 equal salary.... and try to justify with all the unrealistic expectation...

When you think about it deeper.... a lot of things Malaysians didn't compare Apple to Apple but quick to jump the gun when it comes to living spaces and able to drive a car....

After watching the vid.... I also thought of 1 extra benefit working overseas.... BONUS.....

BONUS receive when you work abroad will > BONUS receive in Malaysia thus giving you a chance to increase your savings....

1) Depending on countries but places like SG or HK.... tax are super low... so your net Bonus is higher...
2) You don't need to factor cost of living on your Bonus because you already factor that in your salary... so your bonus is purely to either spend on something you like or save jer.... imagine 1 month bonus in Malaysia is just RM10k while 1 month bonus in SG is RM35k....

It has been awhile since I go Jaya Grocer and was like WTF the prices...

Weakening ringgit really made shopping at Jaya Grocer or Village Grocer much harder.... everything more expensive than you buying it even in SG....

Big Aeon prices also increase but not that much....

Hawker food also increase by a few ringgit since the mid of last year... pukimak... not 0.50 but few ringgit... macam chibai jer >25% increase in a year... still cheap compare to SG but damn.... salary in Malaysia ciput so that increase really hit hard....
