My laptop and desktop were able to connect to a homegroup, sharing the same wifi rounter, streamyx. Unfortunately, they now cannot detect the homegroup since I changed to unifi. Any idea?

Hi all, I need to buy myself a laptop or a tablet pc for study purpose in Australia. I have been through some website and concluded that Malaysia offers lower price in buying such things. So, I decide to buy either of them here. My budget is RM2500.

Touch screen feature of tablet PC is fascinating, but can I handle all my needs by only a tablet PC?

I need microsoft office or alternatives (view and modify .doc .xls files) and at least view .pdf and .jpeg files. Besides, video call is also essential (via internet, eg. skype). Lastly, it can be connected to typical printer. I think a tablet PC that running windows 7 is the best but I am not sure whether this exists in Malaysia.

Kindly leave your suggestion

Hi there, I have just gotten a new Windows 7 dvd and I would like to make a copy of it. I copied the content and burned it into a dvd, however the copy does not boot when the machine starts. Anyone can help this?

Hi there, I have been using Dell Vostro 1000 laptop for 2/3 years and its screen became faulty these days.
The problem is screen turning very dim when I am using it. Meantime, my windows and programs are working ( I can hardly see them running). This happens about 5 to 10 minutes after boot no matter I am using my laptop or leaving it idle. The screen does not light up until I reboot the laptop. At the same time, the screen display ( when it has not gone dim) is extremely fine like usual.

I tried connect it to an external monitor, here is the situations:
It will still go dim when the display is duplicated or extended, however the external monitor works fine. The screen is like revived (last again for minutes before it goes dim again) when I switch the display mode.

Is it my screen problem or inverter? How much is the screen price of my laptop (15.4'')?

I just got my A Level result (pretty good) and two unconditional offers from UK universities (Mechanical Engineering), unfortunately the cost studying aboard is out of reach for my family income.

Shame to share, I am a google dummy and found nothing about it in google.
So, anybody can provide me some information about the available scholarship?

Unable to access internet

My desktop is currently unable to access internet. However, my laptop still can online and they are sharing the same modem, it shouldn't be the problem of modem and the streamyx as well. The cable is usable as it can connect my laptop to internet with wi-fi is disable. I think it is something wrong with the network card, how can i identify the problem?
I havn't install any network drivers for my desktop, but it can still connect to internet last time. Can anyone give me the link for utilities download for the Mobo G3i-M7 TE?

I think my comp was affected by virus.

I am getting redirects from any website I happen to be on, they happen randomly, and I am getting hyperlinks on websites that link to the same sites I keep getting redirects to. All the spyware software is showing up with negative findings for viruses. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I wanna buy a ram to upgrade my comp speed.
Currently, i am using motherboard G31-M7 TE and i have a kingston ddr2 ram ( KVR667D2N5/2G).
I want to buy this ram again but i search no result for its price. Can anybody tell me the price?
Or can somebody recommend other ram instead of this? I dont know how to determine whether the ram fit the motherboard.

display problem

i just formatted a laptop and i couldnt install the graphic for it.
dell vostro 1000, graphic setting should be motherboard/integrated ATI Xpress 1150, but the installer said failed to find the system..

i checked the device manager:
the video controller, i think this is the one which related to the graphic,
is categorized under Other Devices; Video Controller (VGA Compatible)

what to do?
