How much I could have saved?

I deeply review the amount I got charged for my car service and felt my throat got cut. I compare those items charged with price listed online and found out things can be way cheaper.

The point is, how much I could've saved? Probably some expert here could provide the insight and also tips for the next car service. I will change to other car service center.

Weird streamyx tracert

I think TM just routed me to 2 ISP owned routers in private address (line 2 and 3) before NAT-ing the address to public ip (line 5) which is shown when I go to ipchicken.com. I just wonder how come this public address is again routed to private address in line 6 and 7 then only to google IP in line 8. How is that possible? I try to traceroute my public ip using UDP based tracert service in a website and all I get is no reply, which mean my public IP can't be reach from the outside. But when I try to tracert the public IP of my friend who's in Melaka and not being put behind a NAT just like me in line 2 till line 4 (his router is directly assigned with the public address) and his IP can be reached. I just wonder is it something to do with line 7 and 8 private addresses that cause my public ip to unreachable from the outside world.

Is this misconfiguration from TM and should I call them to rectify it? Because there's one time when the thunder damage something at the TM side (DSLAM in my taman or anything), then after they fix it this weird behavior arouse.

Problem details
Today after I did port forwarding in my router. I check for the status of the port to find that the port cannot be accessed through the Internet. Feeling weird, I check my WAN setting, only to see that I'm actually getting a private IP address for my WAN instead of an public IP.

WAN IP shown in router : 10.82.3.158
Public IP (as shown in ipchicken.com): 203.106.149.197

So I just confuse, is it TM started using private IP for streamyx user and assign multiple users to share a single public IP in order to reserve public IP for unifi users? Or is it something to do with my router configuration because I just bought this Asus router about 3 weeks and all the while since I just do normal surfing thus I didn't notice this issue until today.

This extra NAT to convert the WAN IP to public ip really giving me headache because it blocks me from setting up any server on my pc for client on the Internet.

Sudden disappearance of hdd space

My hdd will frequently have strange behavior. For e.g let's say I have 10GB space, then after I turn of my laptop and do something on it for a while, then when I try to download let's say a 3GB stuff, then windows will say not enough space. When I check through My Computer it shows my hdd space has less than 3GB. After I try to restart my laptop the space return again zzz. Any solution?

Claim Microsoft mouse warranty

Today when i was trying my microsoft wireless mouse , the transceiver is not working . I try to unplugged it and plug in my friend's pc to no avail . So the culprit is the transceiver . Did anybody know how to claim the warranty from Microsoft and get a new transceiver ?? I just bought this mouse for one year and now it broke down . Really disappointed with microsoft should have choose logitech on the first hand

Dell XPS 15 Nvidia GT 540m

I'm currently using Dell XPS 15 l502x and this laptop support Nvidia optimus . The thing with it is that everytime I play some high end game (Crysis 2 and etc) , the graphic card won't switch to Nvidia but instead continue to use intel IGP . I've tried many solutions like updating the intel IGP driver and also Nvidia driver to no avail . I also try to set Crysis2 to use only Nvidia High End Graphic inside the Nvidia control panel but still whenever I try to run the game it won't switch . Anybody experiencing the same problem like me and has solution on how to fix it??Much appreciated , thank you.

Difference between bulky and tonned body

Whenever i go to gym training , I will see different kind of body (muscle) size people . I saw a person with very big and bulky on every part of his buddy muscle (esp biceps = =) which i don't like this kind of size to appear on me(i don't hate it but i just don't want to be big like that ) because my aim is to build up strength and speed . There's another person which i watch him for long , he's muscular but his muscle is not that bulky(something like bruce lee) but he punch and kick the punching bag with very fast speed and i can feel he kick and punch it real hard . Is it if that person whom has very big and bulky muscle if he come and punch the punching bag or kick it he could do better than him ?? Is it big muscle = more strength?? Because my purpose to gym is to build my body strength and i also do some outdoor activities that will increase my aggressiveness and alertness and also reflexes . So i generally think big bulky muscle will affect my plan . Please correct me if i'm wrong as i really need help in this.

2.) 2nd question is i heard people say ankle weight will affect our knee and might cause us to walk in a weird way in future and causes us to fall down easily , is it true ??

Capacitor on a motherboard

I don't know whether it's the correct section for me to post this question or not but so far i can't find any place that better than here.

Question :

As we know , the invention of integrated circuit allowed us to make a more compact system . So on a motherboard i see many capacitor that is cylinder shape . So i wonder is that an IC??If it's not why they don't want to use IC type capacitor but use the traditional type??Is there any advantages or maybe more functionalities than an IC one??Or maybe the IC type capacitor doesn't exist??I'm not an engineer student but i very curious in knowing it . 1.)From the above code which I've a initialization of variable i on the outer while loop and also inner while loop , so at each point which the i variable is used , which set of value is used??The inner i or the outer i??If the first test of i < 4 is using the outer variable i , how about after it pass the while loop once??will it still used the variable outside or the inner one??And also how about the if expression lol

I'm solving a question that require me to construct compound proposition using logical connective

For question (e) , my answer is p <--> q , but the answer given is p --> q , my logic is as follow.

1.)First it says Driving over 65 miles/h is sufficient for getting a speed ticket , which mean if a guy driver more or equal to 65 miles/h , he will get a speeding ticket.

2.)That's why i put the answer p <--> q , that's becausse when p is true(he speed more than blah blah) , then q must be true too so that this compound proposition is true . If p is true and q is false that's mean the logic is false , this obey the truth table of biconditional connective.

3.)If p is false( he didnt speed up to blah blah) , but q is true(he still get a ticket) , that's mean the compound proposition should be false because it has contradiction because the proposition says he will only get ticket when speed more than 65 miles/h.In this situation biconditional should be used because when p is false and q is true then the proposition will be false.

4.)When he didnt speed more than blah blah , that's mean p is false , then this mean he wouldn't get a ticket which mean q is also false , then when this situation happen the proposition is true . This condition also suits the biconditional because when p is false , q is false then it's true.

5.)Really hope someone can guide me and correct my logic , i'm willing to learn , thank you.!!!

Hi although it's not programming language question but still discrete structure is important for programmer , I've a question where i still puzzle by the solution which is as follow :

the answer is (r ^ ¬s) --> ¬q , after analyzing slowly i still have no idea why it's like that , before i review the answer i do myself and my answer is ( r ∨ s) --> ¬q , that's because to me the sentences "unless you are older than 16 years old" means if you are not 4 feet tall but you are 16 years old then you can ride the roller coaster which is (r ∨ s) part of my answer

Direct Access Memory in Device Manager

Today while i'm reading article about intel 6 series cpu (study about its architecture , instruction sets) , out of cursiotiy i try to view my device manager and i saw something weird .

As you can see the image above showing there's no driver installed for the DMA , just wanna know does any of you have this occurrence too?Is it normal or is there any driver i need to install in order to activate this??Because i thought intel 6 series cpu suppose to have hardware restriction to prevent user to have direct access to the memory(last time is restrict by using software , that is windows 7 and vista)

Hi i keep searching for a software that could ask for password when someone try to access my laptop , i know windows has the feature the thing is that the windows one has to sign out to logon screen in order for the password authentication to come out , this will cause my running task(downloading) stop and i have to redownload everything , is there any software that could like , when i wanted to leave my laptop i just press a special key on my keyboard to enable the password feature but still all the task and process still continue to run??Which mean it still stay in desktop screen but didnt logout to windows logon screen when the password feature enable and user need to input password in order to start using it.Thank you.

As we know Malaysia is very famous with many delicious food from different races , even our laksa also get top 7 must try food.So i've a suggestion that why don't we open a section that let forumer introduce food that they been before and delicious??With a strength of a person it's slow for us to run all over Malaysia to taste all the food but with help of forumer from all over of Malaysia things can be done easier.This will act as a easy guide for people who wanted to go for a particular places for holiday to check out where can they enjoy nice food , this not only convenient people but also make their holiday easier while also increase lowyat forum reputation.Just a suggestion no offence

Finding a decent cooling pad

Hello , currently i'm owning a dell xps 15 the laptop dissipate hot air at air ventilation on the left side of the laptop while it has vent at the center of below of the laptop.When play game it will reach 83 degree celsius which i think not so good and i'm thinking of getting a cooling pad.Actually i've two requirements for the cooling pad.

1.)I will not gaming always , but will sometime use the laptop on my bed or some other place that doesnt have table , so sometime i need to put the laptop on my lap which will expose my lap to the heat.What i want is a comfortable mat on the cooling pad that could separate the heat from my lap.

2.)During gaming , i want the cooling pad be able to blow cool air into the vent below the laptop so that could help to decrease the temperature much(maybe 8 to 9 degree celsius) so that it won't suffer that much.

Help is much appreciated .Just see a few logitech , belkin and cooler master cooling pad but doesnt knw whether it could fulfill my need or not , so need any expert that has experience.Thank you
