Buiding a HTPC

Hi Guys,

I'm planning to build a HTPC using win vista ultimate.
It's mainly for :
1. My home control/automation system
2. watching HD movies - seldom
3. sometimes browse internet from hall.

I'll be connecting it to a 42" plasma - buying plasma coz mostly parents will be watching astro (pls. recommend if you guys think LCD is better)
I'm planning to get a very slim SILVERSTONE ML02 SST-ML02B-MXR / SST-ML02S-MXR.
I would not give a budget here, i just want to get a system worth the money & my requirements.

Need you guys experience to recommend me a HTPC system.
I don't matter if it's AMD or Intel as long as it performs & the heat level is low.

Pls. let me know any more details you guys need.

New ICE setup in my car

Hi guys,

I've just purchased a full ICE setup from my friend, it's only used for about 8 months.
He sold it coz he's upgrading to a porsh car.

The whole setup:
1. HU : Kenwood DPX-7090U Click here to view
2. AMP : Memphis 4 channel 16-MC42004 - 300w RMS Click here to view
3. Front : 2 way Component, JBL GTO series, but not sure the exact model
4. Sub : JBL GT4 Series 10" Built with JBL tube - 250w RMS
5. Rear : DynaQuest bass mid speaker DAE-5.25BM & Caliber tweeter

Item 1 to 4 is purchased from my friend. - plus RCA cables, fuse & add-on for ipod.
Item 5, i purchased myself from dragon sound, planning to upgrade the rear speakers later to component.

Setup connection.
Channel 1 & 2 is connected to front component.
Channel 3 & 4 is bridged to SUB.
Rear mid & tweeter is connected directly to HU.

Is it a correct connection & when i touch the AMP it's freekin hot.
There was once the AMP cut off & shut down when i was blasting the music for so long.
Is it because the bridged channel from AMP is 150w RMS & the sub is 250w RMS ?

Anyway, my friend didn't had problem last time because he only listen to music at a very low volume...

Pls advise guys.

Hi guys,

My friend is selling an 4 channel amp, i see an circle and a "M" alphabet only.
It's shiny black.
Do you'll know what brand is it ?
Anyway it retails for RM 3000.00 plus is dragon sound.
I'm gonna get a full set with JBL GTO 2 way component, JBL 10" tube set woofer, the RCA cables - the whole set from me friend,just used for 1 year & he's selling of his Altis.
Will update you'll coz need to find a best way to pair it all up.
Anyway, can i know the full meaning of SQ, SQL or is there any other words you'll use for ICE that i should know.
Sorry, i'm noob in ICE.

Hi guys,

I need to refinance my low cost apartment & use the cash for my new house renovation.
I'm still paying for the apartment & there's about 20k plus to settle to the bank.
Can you guys advise me where is the best bank to refinance my apartment.
I'm worried since there are many packages from different bank.
Anyway, the current loan is from Public bank.
Can i refinance it with them, will i get a better value in return if i do so...
Pls advise.
