Need advice. Phone was hacked / remotely accessed

Discovered that last week my phone was remotely controlled / hacked. The hacker intentionally left evidence that he entered my phone, like saving a screenshot and making a shopee purchase (that was later cancelled as it was not paid).

Not sure what else he did on my phone.

Need advice. What should I do now to secure my phone? I looked through my apps list and didn't find anything suspicious. Also, there doesn't seem to be suspicious data usage during that period when he accessed my phone.

I downloaded a bunch of anti-malware / anti-spyware apps and scanned my phone, but nothing came up.

I am thinking of changing passwords for my more important accounts like google and such, and I am concerned he may have installed something on my phone to capture what I key in (maybe that's why he left evidence that he entered my phone.. to prompt password change).

The nuclear option would be to factory reset my phone but at the moment, there are some important work-related apps on my phone that makes that difficult.

Also, I read that my sim may also be compromised. Should I change to a new sim?

I believe this game requires no introduction.

Looking to sell my spare copy of KDM which has just been sitting in my cabinet. The copy is brand new (in shrink wrap). The box looks mint and has been stored with the outer brown box.

KDM's webstore sells the game for US$420 plus another US$120 for shipping. As this is a huge game weighing over 8kg, you will likely get taxed another 20%, i.e. at least a total of US$648 all in = RM2,960. There is also risk of damage during transit.

I am asking for RM2,450 firm for the copy. Will be including the 1.6 update pack as well (brand new sealed), thus, you can enjoy both the 1.5 and 1.6 versions of the game.

Water pipe leak from the mains

15 yr old double storey terrace house. Recently, noticed water bill keep climbing. Normally around RM8 but latest bill around RM40.

After consulting two plumbers, they tell me that the pipe leading to the water tank / kitchen from the mains is leaking but unable to identify the location. So the solution is to pull a new pipe from the mains up to the water tank, and then to the rear of the house, come back down to the kitchen at the back.

The quote I got is RM1800 for polypipe, and RM2800 for stainless steel 304 pipe. One of the plumbers even said that the leak is relatively minor so maybe just leave it for now.

Appreciate thoughts of those who had done this before. What would you do in this situation? Which type of pipe would you go for?

Daikin inverter aircon FTKU 1.5hp

About to pull the trigger on the Daikin inverter aircon (FTKU) 1.5 hp to replace my old Daikin inverter that has served me well for 14 years.

Anyone got any feedback on this model?

Most shops seem to be pushing the standard model (i.e. FTKF) but it is rated 4 stars and I do believe that inverter can save a lot in terms of electricity bills in the long term so don't mind springing a bit extra for the 5 star rated FTKU.

Also, managed to find a shop selling an older model, FTKS35DVM, which uses R410a gas. Unfortunately, not much info on this model. It does look have the same look (and hopefully build quality) as my old Daikin (FTKD35DVM) which I am fond of.

Anyone know where can repair this air compressor?

Had this air compressor for over 7 years but rarely use. Recently stopped working properly. It still runs but not building up pressure. I suspect either valve gasket needs to be changed or some internal leak.

Anyone know of a repair shop that can fix it? Design wise, it's similar to a fridge compressor.

I like this type of compressor as it's super quiet, even though it's not high performance. Also, this type of compressor no longer selling in the market. The shop I bought it from said they won't be able to offer repairs for it since it's already a discontinued model.

Appreciate advice from sifus here. Thanks.

Need some advice.. what type of floor paint would be ideal for outdoor concrete flooring?

I have asked some shops and received different recommendations. One recommended epoxy paint (which based on my research, will turn yellow due to lack of UV protection), and another recommended PU paint (which needs long time to properly cure between coatings).

Have you had a similar project? What worked for you?

I swapped my built-in oven today and when removing my old oven, I noticed that the plastic around one of the legs on the power plug had melted and stuck onto the socket. Took some effort but after prying the plug out from the socket, this is what I see.

Any idea what happened here?
