Maxis Family Plan 299 - pathetic 30Mbps Home Fibre

CelcomDigi already upgraded its One Ultra plan (RM300) with 500Mbps Fibre Broadband.

Yet Maxis Family Plan 299 is still stuck with 30Mbps Fibre Broadband.

30Mbps. That is 3 steps down on the Fibre Broadband bandwidth package.

500 > 300 > 100 > 30

You can't even subscribe to 30Mbps now. It does not exist anymore.

So is Maxis going to upgrade its Family plan fibre bandwidth? Or should users port-out to CelcomDigi?

How to request Maxis to peer with Valve?

So.. the route to that network has been very unstable lately. Even as I'm writing this, the latency to Valve game servers in Singapore reached around 310ms - refer screencap below.
But today I've just realized that both Maxis and Valve have presence in Equinix from peeringdb and both of them also have an open peering policy.
Now.. how do I get Maxis to peer with Valve? Are there any Maxis network admins here.. reading this?
Just need 2 subnets from Valve.. 103.28.54.0/24 and 103.10.124.0/24.

If anyone is interested to know about the cause high latency - the issue is with the return traffic : i.e. from Valve to Maxis.
Valve is routing through Highwinds Network which I believe is their Internet provider.
However, Highwinds do not have route to Maxis through SGIX - at least for the Home Fiber subnet.. I don't know whether it's because Maxis did not advertise or Highwinds filtered it.
...and we get routed through Singtel -> TATA -> Maxis.. hence the increased latency.
Summary:
Maxis to Valve traffic: Maxis->Highwinds->Valve (Good!)
Valve to Maxis traffic: Valve->Highwinds->Singtel->Tata->Maxis (Bad!)

Extend WiFi coverage

Hi guys,

Need your advice on something that I am looking to do.
Basically what I am trying to achieve is to share an existing broadband connection in my parents house to my own house on the opposite side of the road. Our houses are not directly facing one another, but one house beside as per image below.

So.. what equipment do I need and what is the setup like? I'm thinking that I might need to use one of those uni-directional antennas and repeaters but am finding a solution with the least cost. Any input is very much appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi,

I have one DSL router and one LL router and they are both connected to an SSG140 f/w. The LL router is the default gateway. Can anyone help me to configure the f/w so that it will use the DSL in case the LL goes down?

Thanks.
