malays think i am one of them

My mother is a Malay (far away from south peninsular Malaysia) but my father is not. He is originally from the Middle East.

I am 25 years old and have full beard.

Every time Malays look at me, they think I am one of them because of my skin color. So I give them a jerk face, telling "what the fark you looking at".

Since they can't stop glancing on me, wishing I am one of them, so sometimes I walk to them and ask "Do I look like a Malay"? .... "I am not a Malay".

What is the best way to tell Malays that I am not one of them?

UPDATE:

When trying to play NFS Carbon, when trying to enter game, suddenly screen goes black (not blue scree anymore). i need to use the power button to restart the PC.

also when playing CS under software mode (bad graphic), game goes smooth. when use opengl mode (good graphic), after a while PC hang.

is it GC problem or RAM spoil?

intel pentium 4 2.6ghz
MB: not sure but socket 775
RAM: 2x256
graphic card: ati r9600 pro 256mb ddr2

problem: before this i use different graphic card to play NFS carbon. if not mistaken, it was nvidia.

then the GC spoilt so i bought this ATI R9600 256mb ddr2.

but i cannot play NFS Carbon or other games anymore like CS.

when i open NFS Carbon, when trying to choose a car, suddenly blue screen appears and computer restarts.

whats the problem?

Scenario: My AGP card slot on the motherboard is faulty so I need to buy a new same motherboard. Unluckily, Lowyat got no stock of it.
The motherboard is ASRock Prescott 800 775i65GV Dual Channel Dual Core DDR400 , an old one, bought it in 2002.

Question: Should I buy the same motherboard to avoid re-install Windows?
OR
Can I buy the same type of motherboard (socket 775) to avoid re-install Windows?
OR
Any recommendations?

If you are kind enough, can you search for me the link in Garage Sales the kind of motherboard that I can replace?

LCD monitor turns off

hi

many times this has happened before. my solution is to re-assemble my desktop but this time it doesnt work.

the problem is:
i suddenly plug off the monitor adapter from its port at the back of cpu.
then i plug it back, it cannot screen the Windows. so i restart.
after restarting (Windows Vista is loading, right before the log on screen), monitor turns itsellf off.
but before it turns itself off, the monitor is ok - it shows that Windows is loading

* the monitor is fine - i test it with my laptop

please tell me any kind of solution you think will work

this not-mine house just installed streamyx and the line is very poor.

i ping google and the minimum time i receive is 1300ms.
average round trip: > 1500ms

this line is 66/mnth or 512kbps but i use mine 1mbps streamyx account now.

im not sure whether the cause is from line, service area or modem.

can anyone tell me your ping reply from google?

-i use old huawei smartax mt800a modem. physically, its so light in relative to zte zxdsl modem.
-this house location is in kuala terengganu city area.

i suspect the low ping comes from the modem (settings are all ok)

hi

my cpu will auto-shutdown after a period of time. sometimes it took 8 hours, 1 hour, 15 minutes, ....

im not sure which hardware gives this trouble.

but im sure its not PSU since the power is 400W and its new.

when i need to start the CPU, i have to hold the power button for about 10 seconds, release and press again to start it.

i think its got electrostatic charge that needs 'grounding' because i have tried this try-n-error method:

-when CPU off itself, i unplug the power cable from socket
-touch the 3-pin metal to something for about 10secs
-plug it back
-power on

do you guys have any advices?

hi

i just opened the casing because i cant use dvd-rw. so i tried to re-plug all the wires connecting to dvd-rw and hard disk.
i try to boot, cpu is running, but monitor is blank and the power LED of the lcd is blinking. there is nothing wrong with the monitor bcoz i tried it
with my laptop.

i think the problem is hard disk. usually when windows boots, hard disk makes a cracking sound. but now it doesnt.

hi

i got one hard disk only and am about to upgrade to vista from xp.

i got big size of files so its tedious to burn them into CD/DVD. my plan is

1. make another drive, named D:\
2. move all the important files to D:\
3. make clean installation of windows vista
4. move files from D:\ to C:\
5. delete partition D:\

you think its gonna work?
