How do you hold the iPad 2?

How do you guys hold the iPad 2 for things like surfing the web, watching videos, playing games?

Do you fold the smart cover and put in on a desk (upright or flat)
Put in on your lap?
Hold with 1 or 2 hands?
Prop it between your knees/leg?

After using my iPad 2 for a week or so, I have still yet to find an optimal way or position to hold it. The most tolerable position I found was to sit on chair and put in on a desk and maybe prop up the smart cover with some books so that it's at a higher angle.

Powering an external SATA hd using a PSU

Recently my WD Elements hard drive's power supply died on me. It will cost me a bomb to get a replacement and since its a common problem, I don't really intend to rely on it anymore. All I want to do now is to transfer out my data on the hard drive.

The hard drive inside the enclosure is a SATA 500 gig external hard drive. I am wondering if its possible for me to get a normal computer PSU that has a SATA cable to power it up. Or will it fry the hard drive, me and the house in the process?

Also I don't have access to a desktop. All I have around me is laptops and more laptops.

Travelling with a Macbook

Anyone has experiences in traveling with a Macbook?
I am thinking of bringing mine on a 8 day trip but I have a major concern. Where to I store the laptop? It's gonna be rather inconvenient to bring it around for the whole day but also not really that safe to keep it in the hotel. It's not a must for me to bring it along but it would be nice if I had it. Then I would actually have something to do while waiting for my 7 hour transit.

Charging iPod in Japan

I'll be going to Japan and I am wondering how do I charge my iPod. I have those normal USB to wall charger that I bought at some computer shop and it has 3 pins like the usual Malaysian plugs. So if I want to use it in Japan what do I do? I know i can probably buy one of those international electrical adapter from those shops that sell traveling stuffs, so that's not a worry. What I am worried is, will the voltage there affect my iPod? Japan uses 100V while Malaysia uses 230V. So I am guessing that if I charge anything that I bought there in Malaysia, it will be fried but what about vice versa?

Bootcamp and fan issue

I just installed boot camp and Windows XP on my Macbook. Thing is when my MB is on boot camp my fans do not start at all. Its very quiet and Ic an barely feel any air at the ventilation holes. After like 15 minutes of use, my screen's brightness will go down to zero. I have to shut it down, let it cool a while. I am using SMC fan control when I am on OSX. I crank up the rpms' when there is a need for it. Any ideas how to get the fans to work on boot camp? I read that when on boot camp the fans spin at its maximum speed for most people, but mine is the opposite. It doesn't start at all.

Question about virus

My thumbdrive is infected with some sort of virus. It makes a Ravmone.log, disables the hidden file option, disables cmd, msconfig and regedit. It appears as a folder icon but its an .exe and out of curiosity I went and click it. So it's most likely a ravmone virus.

Apple Mini-DVI to VGA adapter

I have a Macbook and I want to plug it in to my LCD monitor so I am hunting for that cable. I went to Digital Mall in PJ and the adapter was RM200. I went to Low Yat and the guy said he can sell it to me for RM 140. So, i am wondering if there are any cheaper places I can get it or is are there any other third party adapters that can perform the same function?

Problem with DVD burner

Here's the scenario.
My main HD (C:) drive is connected via a SATA cable. The jumper setting is on Master.
My second HD is connected via my SECONDARY IDE cable. The jumper setting is on Slave.
The DVD burner that I wanted to plug in is connected via my Primary IDE cable. It tried master and slave jumper setting but it didn't work. Apparently my com didn't detect the drive.
The problem could be with the IDE and jumper settings.
I'll check for loose cables and also see if my reader is working in the first place.
Can someone help me sort out the cables and jumper setting configs.

I tried playing a movie file that has been converted into .mp4 format. When I play it with iTunes on full screen all is see is a flickering green screen. Any idea how to fix it?

If you could change the iPod in terms of hardware and software what would you change?
PS: The changes should not turn the iPod into another product.
For me I would add the shuffle function for albums and artist and add the delete song/video function.

Can't load into desktop

My com is an old P3 and I suspect it's full with spywares and trojans in the hands of my sister. The thing is when I load it, I cant seem to go to the desktop. This "dr watson postmortem debugger" eror notice keeps on prompting me to send the error report again and again. I managed to go online by clicking to view their policies and with that my Firefox loaded and thats how I can come to LYN to post this. Anyone can help?

Problem with Windows Messenger Life

I have the latest version of WLM but whenever I add a new contact or old contact that I have previously added but deleted, it says that the contact is not in my contact list. So the contact ends up at my "Other Contacts" group and even if they are online it appears as offline. I can chat with that "offline" contact though.
