iphone bluetooth with MyVi Premium Auto

Hi all,

Not sure if this has been brought out before, but I would like to share my experience for this.
The Perodua manual of explaining the bluetooth is quite confusing ( my understanding), so here is my tutorial.

Pre-requites:
1. Must be premium auto, or version that comes with stock blue-tooth radio. SE audio system button might be diff.
2. Your phone (iphone) support A2DP

Steps:
1. Press and hold the blue-ttoth logo button on the radio long enough until you see PAIRING shown
2. Turn on Iphone blue-tooth
3. wait till Iphone found the device, then enter the pairing password, default is 0000
4. if successful connected, your MyVis audio system will "beep" to response a successful connection, else an error "beep, beep" will sound.
5. Then press "SEL" button at your audio system so that "BT-Music" word shown.
4. Played your favorite music from Ipod apps in your Iphone, you should see that the blue-tooth logo is displayed. Now you will be haering the musci is played from your car speaker, adjust volume from ipod or the vol knop
5. if there is an incoming call, you can answer it by select the in-car speaker, the music will be stop.

Hi all,

Here's the photo of this baby on my desk serving it's duty:

Air flow from the vent holes at the top side of this router is hot, I use a heatsink to elevate the DSL600EU! I don't like the white colour, though it gives you kinda of Ipod-a-like feel, but not practical in dusty environment, furthermore the colour turns yellowish over the years, yuck!

A external USB drive 30G connected to it via USB 2.0 port behind the router:

here's my what I have been tried out so far:
1.) Flashed to oleg firmware. It gives me the ability to do telnet

2.) Mounted a external usb drive and enable swap space to compensate the limited on board memory, I made 128Mb from this hdd served as swap space

I am glad that WL500G does utilise it.

3.) Install Samba, so that I can share the ext HDD between my network, which is very cool Check out the this drive in Vista network neighbourhood

Glab that now I have something to host my music collection across n/w

4.) I even tried out the web version of emule on this baby. it's called amule, install it into this router and you can transfer your P2P d/l to your router to handle it, imagine overnite d/l without on the PC. Here's the screen shot:

By the way, this is quite taxing to therouter, I only tried it as proof of concept, the download is slow, not really recommending. I would try the bit torrent next, see if the performance will be better.

There are a few 3rd party f/w available for this router:
1.openwrt, purely text base. bare firmware only, lotsa stuff got to install by user.Recommended to expert user whois good with Linux commands

2.dd-wrt, good QoS but current version doesn't support usb device (requires manual loading of usb lib during booting). Recommended if you dun like typing,dun mind the lack of support of usb device out of box.

3.Oleg firmware. This is based on Asus original firmware. Check out the screen shot below:

As you can see, Asus logo is still intact!
I am using the latest Oleg built version 1.9.2.7-7g, downloaded from here:

There are lotsa of optware (precompiled applications) available for this router, there is really endless possibilities for it's abilities, currently successful mod including an wireless media share server, php-sqllite web server, vpn server, ftp server and etc.

This seller did not fulfil the sale, I had paid him RM50 for a ZTE modem but till now has not received item nor any update on the status from him. I have requested refeund from him on Saturday, but still no news from him.

I overlook his dispute tag on his profile, my mistake on this. please beware of this seler as he is still active had quite number of sales thread active.

Help needed for Prolink Hurricane 9200

Problem details
First occurence of problem: Anyone knows how to enable it as bridge as the modem won't connect to Streamyx if I disable the PPP dialer within it, Dlink 704P can't seem to dial though this modem if the PPP is enabled.
