Dell batteries are of bad quality

Just wanted to alert people of dell batteries.

Dell XPS 15 L502X user here. My laptop is just a little over a year old and now, I've got a dead battery. Having used many other laptops prior to this, I've never had or heard of such a problem on a laptop battery, much less any other appliance batteries dying within a year.

Here is my review on the battery that I've posted on the dell site, which is pending a review for it to be posted.

I've had my laptop for a little over a year, I love it, but I turned it on one day to find an orange blinking light on the battery indicator. To my dismay, it stated on windows that the battery has experienced a permanent failure and so 'conveniently' offered a link to buy a new battery on the dell site.

Upon looking the other comments posted of the battery and seeing how a few others has faced the same problem, it has come to my realization that Dell has certainly failed in the battery department. A battery that only lasted one year is unacceptable and should be highlighted to all new customers as a warning. This is NOT dependable or RELIABLE as highlighted.

Will not be recommending to anyone dell products and informing the various forums of this utter failure.

Compressed air in a can

Not sure if I'm on the right sub-forum.
But have been looking for cheap compressed air in a can or a similar substitute (ie. air compressor machine) to clean off dust in computers.

ACE hardware sells the can, but at Rm50 a can, which is.. kinda hefty.

Anyone know of any places to get them at a more reasonable price?

Just posting to see if anyone has this model and could use some feedback on the tv itself.

This one is the 3D LED 46".

In SenQ, apparently the tv itself doesn't come with any 3D glasses. But the guy at SenQ said he will offer 1 pair along with the TV.

Kinda ridiculous that the webcam is sold separately and costs Rm799!

On-screen Keyboard App for androids

Been looking around to get a new phone myself and a bit new on the smartphones scene. From what I've tried out, including iPhones and all the popular touchscreen phones. Their on-screen keyboard really... fails. Its EASY to mishit a wrong button making text messaging and typing really really slow.

I've read a little and theres some mention of a keyboard app of sorts you could download which is much better then the default one.

So my question is, what is this app or whatever called? And how much better and easier is it to type with it? And does it completely replace the default one on all the apps and etc?

Been trying to figure out a song from the late 90s.

From what I remember in the music video, the band is performing on top of a rooftop during the daytime and on the streets people are doing various stuff.

Male lead singer.

I ~THINK~ the song title starts with 'P'. But I could be wrong there.

Anyway, not much to go with, but just trying my luck, if someone knows it

Just a heads up on Supernatural S5.

How this would be the last season-

And even if the show does come back, would Kripke still be involved? “I don’t know,” hedges Supe’s fearless leader, who doesn’t have a deal in place beyond season 5. “I’m going to cross that bridge when I get to it.”

Hopefully there'll be a new arc to come after season 5! Though I got a feeling they will kill off a lotta characters. . .

Anyway, as topic goes, how hot does your ps3 get? Mine gets pretty warm at the bottom side. New console too, just got it from sony style on monday.

Got a friend in the states and at room temp his ps3 doesn't even feel warm.

Just got mine installed and pretty pleased so far. Haven't tried any games yet though.

Anyway, just wondering what applications you guys use with this card.

Currently only have the Creative Console Launcher. Don't have alchemy installed since I'm still sticking to XP (am I missing out?).

Using a recovery disk on a laptop

Okay, so I got a MSI Wind, which doesn't have a built in optical drive. Would like to use the recovery disc, but don't have access to a usb optical drive or floppy.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thermalright HR-03GT

Just installed my HR-03GT from thermalright on my 8800GT.

Their website states on idle the temps are at 36C.

Before on my stock cooler I get temps of 58C idle with fan speed on 60%.

After installing the HR-03GT I now have temps of 50-52C idle.

Somethings wrong, anyone got any ideas?

edit: oh I don't have a fan installed on it, but I believe the temps on thermalright's is also without a fan.

Trying to recall a song

Trying to recall a song from the 90s. Only remember bits of the video clip, if I'm not wrong, it features the band playing and singing in a room. And theres a bee or a fly flying around.

I think the band name's 1st letter starts with a letter thats above N, since I recall having the song near the end of my playlist.

Sorry its not much to go by, hopefully someone knows it though.

Controller turning off by itself while playing

Anyone get this? Happens quite often when I play Halo3, controller just turns off by itself and I have to turn it back on again. Quite irritating if you ask me

Logitech Z-5500 Fuse

I think my new Logitech Z-5500 (few days old) just blew a fuse, turned my wall power on, but no red light on the control console

Read over google results that the problem lies on the fuses blowing out if the main power is turned on and off often.

Anyone have any idea where I can get these fuses?
