Telcos suspend 6% tax on prepaid lines

KUALA LUMPUR: All telecommunication companies have agreed to suspend plans to impose the 6% service tax on prepaid lines pending discussion with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission.

Information, Communications and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim, who had already made it clear his ministry did not support the tax, told a press conference in Angkasapuri on Monday that the telcos must hold off implementing the tax on Thursday as planned.

He also said that the matter would be discussed in the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

The move by the telcos is deeply unpopular with users.

Dr Rais had earlier advised the telcos to think about their subscribers, saying that some of the firms had been reaping profits of between RM800mil and RM1.2bil annually.

They have been earning attractive profits, notwithstanding paying the levy on behalf of subscribers since 1998, he had said.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had on Friday said the plan to impose the service tax from Thursday was not approved by the Finance Ministry, adding that the people were already being burdened by the rising cost of living.

Forumer you are complaining against: POORBUYER has repent - hope you can repent. i feel this thread should be here to remind you not to do it again!!

Item being sold/bought: STARTER PACK

So far the people dont like poorbuyer as a buyer : jack7155, phinleong, name, siemens6688, wyonneh

Date of transaction: FROM 10TH JAN 2011 TILL 29TH JAN 2011

Details of the complaint : I'm just fed up with this guy "POORBUYER". Our deals start from 10 Jan 2011 when i first put up my number for sale. Those number i sold him was ways below the market price. Our first deal has been so smooth. After calling me, you straightaway bank in all the money to me (around 1.5k worth of starter packs). Then the next day he ask me to pos(which i did the early next morning). And he ask me if i have more number, and i said yes. He ask me to let him see the number first and we talk about the price which he agreed. After that he told me to find more stocks for him (I was quite naive then and eventually took more than 5k worth of stocks from my distributor).

After that I ask him to bank in the money for me so that i can sent to him the numbers. From there he keep dragging and dragging, promise after promise. But nothing has been bankin to my account. He said that he wanted to view more number and keep discounting from me and we end up quarrelled. Then he apologize to me and said it was all his wrong and will bank in to me (my kind heart was touch as he keep apologizing with me) and i agreed. After few more days he still havent bank in to me yet!! WTF!!

Then i decided to sell all my stuff at a DAMN LOW price in my thread. He saw it and say wanted more number from me. So i say to him he must bankin and NO RESERVED will be made and he agreed. He choose 70 numbers and i give him the amount he need to paid. That night i was so tired and i wont bother to check my account if the payment has been made. The next day i go to check, the amount was not made yet!! I just ignore it and think he will bank in (maybe he was busy??)

Then come today, i check around 12pm and NOT even a single cents was made to my account!! So i DECIDED to CALL OFF THE DEAL!! I sms him about it as i was SOOOO ANGRY about it

Now he KEEP SMS me and calling me and i ignore this person already. He was not a man of his honours. In my eyes, POORBUYER IS NOT WORTH EVEN A SINGLE CENTS!!!

*whoever have the same experience with poorbuyer may come in and talk your experience.

THIS IS NOT CALLED BUSINESS AFTERALL ALREADY CONFIRMED THE PRICE AT LAST HE CHANGED THE PROMISED. this irresponsible seller just will find whatever reason to break the business rules. beware of this seller guys. he order much. at last he just picked up the nicer and dump all normal number back by using he not enough cash.. HE TRYING TO CONTROL MARKET but end up with nothing. CHEAP SELLER AND I CAN USE JUST A RM10 TO BUY HIS ATTITUDE!!

At least, they CALL or SMS me to inform regarding the deal is off before it is too late :-) So that i can easily just transfer the deal to current waiting buyer who are keen to buy it, right ? So i'm no lost at all, and i do can help that buyer who really need the money urgently. Because some ppl maybe "REAL" facing financing defficurt, as a human.
Ok, back to this "POORBUYER" story. He SMS & CALL me to purchased several phone model during early 2010 using the same phone number, he introduce him self is "poorbuyer" from LYN in SMS, and choose over 5 model in my selling topic.

So, it is like usual, i will request him to PM me since 1st day i will not accept any Call in/ SMS order to ensure there is every buyer is happy for the fair dealing enviroment , but he refused during call by saying :" aiyaa, why need PM ? I call you now you just give me that 5 units phone la, i confirm to buy la, give me your bank acc,..... bla bla bla"

After several times explain by me, he finally used the PM method at last. He PM me about 8 model he want, but only has 5 model is available. So, just like normal i will phone-up the buyer for double confirm the deal, and key-in the order to my System at the same time. He keep request for discount saying that he is re-seller or whatever, i am finally discounted RM5-15 per phone for him, since reseller price were also very close to my selling price. Everything is smooth, and he is confirmed all 5 units phone, and the order has been key-in'ed , Banking detail has been send over to him by SMS after hang-up the call.

Ok, to ensure there is not-longer waiting by 2nd-priority buyer (Those buyer who keen to buy the model, but reserved for those earlier buyer like POORBUYER due to 1st come 1st get base, has to wait until the 1st priority buyer cancel or MIA/FFK then just have the chance to buy the item). I am setting all 1st priority buyer has to be done the payment within 24 Hours after they received the banking detail from me, unless some buyer who really can't made it within 24Hrs due to working, too far from bank, not convenience, THEY WILL CALL ME UP before i inform them like :

"Hi, mr-lai . Can i do the payment after 9PM tonight? i am still in my office now, sorry ya.."
"sorry mr.lai, skrg ni i tengah kerja la, nanti malam sikit saya bank in kan ya ? Jgn marah ya..."
"Mr.Lai, i confirm want that phone, please reserved to me, i may done the payment abit late, my area no Maybank .... "

See, above msg is from those sincere buyer. For what i will do, i will reserved for them continuous of caused. Normally, above buyer sure will keep their promise at the end (Good luck to me, i has such of good buyer)

Other than that, once more than 24hrs i am still not get the payment, i will SMS to those buyer to inform them regarding the Payment Request. Coz sometimes, i maybe wrote the wrong phone number, so that my buyer did not receive banking detail from me. I will double check the PM also, ensure i am using the right number. If they is still no response, i will transfer the deal to current waiting buyer and continue my trade.

But for this POORBUYER, it is the worst buyer i've ever meet.
After 24Hours, it is NO PAYMENT made to my acc. So, i sent a SMS to inform him that request him to CALL/SMS me if he still need that deal, as i am going to transfer the deal if he dont need it. After that , i received the SMS from HIM, say he WANT ALL 5 Units phone CONFIRMED, and will BANK IN TO ME at NIGHT.

So, i thought it is CONFIRMED Deal. To prevent those 2nd priority buyer wait longer, i would just tell them :"Sorry mate, but the model you request is sold." Rather than ask buyer to wait until night, if POORBUYER really made the payment at night, then of cause i've made the 2nd priority buyer angry.

"Walao, at noon you request me to wait until night, now you say it is SOLD ? Are you playing me?"

See above msg, i am trying to prevent this type of thing happen. So i am just telling them is SOLD before i receive payment from POORBUYER.
Ok, another day gone , at 2nd day morning there is still NO PAYMENT in yet. So, i call POORBUYER instantly, he answer the phone. I request for the payment, you guess what he answer ?

"Err, Mr.Lai , sorry ya but i only need XXXX , other than that i don't want it. "

I was like : "wah , i am be a fool yesterday" but ofcause, i did not scold him . Because, he is cancel 4 units phone, but still get 1 unit of it. Still a business for me.)

But instead he is taking 5 units but only 1 unit, i will only offer him a normal selling price , but he seems to be unacceptable and keep saying : "That day you say give me RM XXX leh , now you give me RM XXX? I am re-seller leh, you treat me like normal customer? bla bla bla"

End-up, i am really can't discount on the price, since i even FREE POSTAGES for him. He finally accepted, and pending for payment again .

The 4 units phone he has canceled, i can't transfer to 2nd priority, because i has told those buyer IT WAS SOLD ! So how ?

Clearance price for those 4 units phone , and re-sell it in my topic with more lower price. (My lost for that POORBUYER)

Another 24hours is gone, still no payment. Until i call him, no answer , SMS him no reply. I know he is gone. I take this person as a lesson, and blacklisted him in my mind.
So, you all can see how worst of this person rating is ?
