How to connect PS3 to Onkyo TX-SR506

To all the gurus out there,

Please help, just bought an Onkyo TX-SR506 recently, tried to connect to my PS3, no matter how I try I there is only picture coming out from the LCD but no audio from my separate speaker set

I understand that 506 has a HDMI audio pass through only

What I have on hand now is

2 HDMI cable
1 Fiber Optic Cable.

This is what I have tried, connect HDMI from PS3 to receiver, then another HDMI from receiver to LCD, then Optical cable from PS3 to receiver.

Can't seems to find the solution, can any gurus help out??
I am new to these stuff
