thinking of enrolling for a part time degree course to further my studies on IT,

know that a few colleges offer 1 year degree courses if u possesed a diploma from another recognized college, amont them are SEGI, Olympia, Systematic, Informatics, Wawasan (2years) , just to name a few....

any care to give an opinion on these colleges if you were previously a student that graduated from those colleges ?

would appreciate if you share any of your good or even bad experience with these colleges, so i can choose which 1 to consider and which to avoid at all cost, thxx

SATA External Drive Prob

i plug in my SATA external hardidsk drive to my computer which is running windows XP service pack 2 OS,

there is no detection of my drive, and the LED on the external drive keep switching between red and green.

any experts can help me troubleshoot this prob?

thinking of burning a TVB drama on to DVDs so that my mom can watch on DVD player, but dunno which format DVD player usually can play,

i have convertxtodvd and winavi on my system, but theres so much format to choose from, i kno is definitely not VOB format as after i covert 1 300mb RMVB, is comes out 2.4 GB....

izit i should choose convert to MPEG format then burn to DVD, but wat is the difference between MPEG-1 and MPEG-2, is both playable on normal DVD player?

how to burn so that when put in DVD player can choose which file to play??

i am looking to apply for USM degree course for diploma holders, i written an e-mail to authority in-charge of USM, n they reply me to look out for the advertisement they will be posting on local newspaper during 1st week of january...

i written back to ask for the specific newspaper that wil be posting, but so far they havent response to my email.....

i not yet found the ad yet, anyone kno which specific local newspaper in charge of this?

COM/OLE error when using Nero

i wanted to burn CD using Nero, but it wouldnt execute and gotten an error message of "An error using COM/OLE occurs. Please check the installation of COM on your computer."

i try reinstall with a new version of Nero 6, but after reinstall still popup this error, how to solve this problem?

laptop canot execute basic commands

my sis laptop got infected with spyware a while ago, i clean up those spywares and now plan to do a reformat, but the problem is now i cant perform basic windows function like move file from its original destination to other destination like a removeable pendrive.

There is no popup or anything that tells me why the command canot be executed, the laptop just do not respond to the command, i not sure whether i deleted any system files that are related to the execution of these paste and move commands.

i try using nero to burn out the files i wanted, but the nero pop out with a message stating "An error using COM/OLE occurs. Please check the installation of COM on your computer."

hope fellow experts like Subs and Sempurna can help out pls, thxx

i think alot of u kno that rapidshare put a 80 min pause to download consecutive files for non premium user, anyone know anyway or any software(without any spyware or malware) that actually can bypass this step?

my sis was surfing on some chinese websites on her laptop, after that, IE started to auto popup with chinese porn websites advertisement and things like that , there are also unwanted chinese websites URL added to the favourite list on internet explorer, sometimes the laptop also unable to shut down.

i done a spyware & virus sweep wit spyware doctor and kaspersky, founded the Trojan.Win32.Agent.zg virus on 4 separate DLL files inside the system32 folder, i am unable to delete it, need help on solving this prob wit the popups and deletion of the virus itself, hope u guys can help,

but i dun like the sound of "Speed of service is on best effort basis" in their terms and condition statement,
