Najib Abdul Razak will be leaving for Jakarta for a two-day break beginning tomorrow, according to a source close to the ousted prime minister.

The source said this when asked about the veracity viral photograph of a chartered flight manifest which lists Najib and his wife Rosmah Mansor as passengers.

According to the photograph, the flight - with the tail sign PK-RJX - was to depart for from the Subang airport at 10am tomorrow.

The destination is Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport, Jakarta.

This sparked speculation that Najib was about to flee, three days after leading BN to its worst electoral outing ever.

"He wants a rest and so he is going away for two days. He will be back," said the source.

The source dismissed speculation that Najib was about to flee the country.

"Everyone has the flight schedule... So they can go and check if he is fleeing with bags of money and stuff... There is no such thing (as fleeing)," said the source

Dell Studio XPS 1647 stuck at startup screen

Hi, my laptop had been stuck in the dell logo startup screen (not the windows start up) for hours since last night.
Can't go into BIOS and boot menu.
Googled and didnt see any similar issues.
Before that the laptop hang very often, and cannot play video well and I have to force shut down it.
Could it be HDD problem or RAM problem?
I will check on HDD and RAM when I got time to see whether either one of them caused the problem.

Started on the day Microsoft acquired Nokia's device business, Singapore-based Newkia was founded by Thomas Zilliacus, who worked for 15 years at Nokia, where he was the Finnish company's Asia-Pacific CEO for seven years.

Currently leading investment company Mobile FutureWorks, which he founded, Zilliacus actually tried to buy out Nokia a year ago. Speaking to ZDNet, he revealed how he wasn't able to raise enough funds to do so.

To fulfil his vision of making a Nokia-like Android phone, he plans to hire Nokia employees who have expressed interest in developing for Android. He already has some ex-staff on board, and wants to hire more. "What Newkia wants to do is to use Nokia know-how, technology, and design to build the world's best smartphones, but running on Android," he said.

In the interview, he noted how Nokia missed opportunities because it was arrogant, due to its dominant position in the market at that time. He gave as an example a Nokia prototype that looked like the iPhone, developed four years before the first Apple iPhone. This product was never launched because the company thought the market wouldn't be interested -- he still has this prototype in his drawer.

Newkia wants to launch its first phone within a year, though that will be dependent on funds raised and the employees it is able to hire.

Even though Zilliacus plans to have his R&D team in Finland, the company will be based in Singapore and devices will be targeted at the Asia audience. However, he does not rule out launching products in the U.S. as well.

Zilliacus adds that Newkia "can offer consumers what can be new, exciting, and different". It'll be interesting to see what the company can come up with, since there is now no lack of Asia-focused companies making high-quality, low-cost Android phones. Just getting the Nokia build quality and design would be a great start -- I'm sure a phone that feels like the Nokia N9 (or Lumia 800) with Android installed would be a tantalizing proposition for smartphone lovers.

"We will investigate this accident," he added.

This is the second accident involving a state train in the past two years.

On Oct 31, 2011, a train carrying 200 passengers collided with a fuel tanker at a crossing in Kepayan here. The resulting explosion caused serious injuries to 12 people but no fatalities.

The Nokia Lumia 610 is now available in Malaysia for RM699. It is already on sale at several Nokia Stores and comes in 4 striking colours – white, cyan, magenta & black. This makes it affordable for anyone to experience Windows Phone, especially youths or mobile users that are upgrading from good old feature phones.

In our rather brief hands on, the Lumia 610 offers a rather smooth experience similar to its expensive siblings. In fact, we felt that the overall build of the Lumia 610 is much more premium than the Lumia 710 and it comes with a nice metallic frame around the screen.

To recap on the specs, it runs on a lower 800MHz processor, 256MB of RAM with 8GB of internal storage. At the front, it has a 3.7″ WVGA display and powering the device is a 1,300mAh battery. No ICS for Galaxy S and Tab 7.0

When Samsung announced the list of phones and tablets to get the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update, there were many questions of why certain models didn't make the cut. The original Galaxy S for one was quite a surprise, since the nearly identical Nexus S is already getting the update.
Samsung issued an official statement explaining why the the I9000 Galaxy S and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 won't get to taste official ICS.
Both feature Samsung's TouchWiz customizations which run pretty deep (they include things like custom widgets, video calling and so on), and they also have country-specific customizations (like the ISDB-Tb Digital TV tuner for Brazil) along with carrier-mandated changes.
All those customizations will not run smoothly on the older hardware if ported to Ice Cream Sandwich, with limited RAM and ROM storage pointed out as problematic.
Samsung's statement talks only of the Galaxy S and the Tab 7.0, but other Galaxy phones that are not on the ICS update list most likely suffer from similar restraints so they'll remain on Gingerbread too.
Of course, there are plenty of third-party ROMs available out there that will put an unmodified Ice Cream Sandwich (that is no TouchWiz) on your Galaxy droid - we already tried one out and it worked rather well.
