KUALA LUMPUR, April 2 — Malaysian professional wrestling sensation Nor “Phoenix” Diana has made it to Forbes’ “30 under 30 Asia” list for 2020 in recognition of her contribution to the sport.

Nor Diana grabbed worldwide attention after being the first female to win the Malaysia Pro Wrestling (MYPW) wrestlecon championship in July last year.

She was a featured honouree in the list’s ‘Entertainment and Sports’ section.

The other categories include The Arts (Art & Style, Food & Drink); Finance & Venture Capital; Media, Marketing & Advertising; Retail & E-Commerce; Enterprise Technology; Industry, Manufacturing & Energy; Healthcare & Science and Social Entrepreneurs; and Consumer Technology.

The 2020 list features a diverse set of “30 Under 30” honourees, with 22 countries and territories represented across the Asia-Pacific region, with the publication vetting some 3,500 nominations.

According to Forbes, “this select group of relentless individuals are disrupting industries and tackling major global issues”.

It added that the criteria for honourees making the list include “their demonstration of leadership, how they embody the entrepreneurial spirit that is synonymous with Forbes, and their potential of success in their industry”.

Other factors like innovation, disruption — and size and growth of their ventures in some categories — also played a role in the final decision.

Honourees were vetted and selected by a panel of accomplished and acclaimed judges in each category.

They include Hiroshi Mikitani (CEO of Rakuten); Roshni Nadar Malhotra (Executive Director and CEO of HCL Corporation and Trustee of Shiv Nadar Foundation); and JP Gan (General Partner at INCE Capital).

Eleven other listees from Malaysia include Zac Liew (co-founder of Curlec); Ooi “Jason” Wei Xiang (founder of Agrain); Lennise Ng and Aizat Rahim (co-founders of Dropee); and Wan Hasifi Amin Wan Zaidon (co-founder of Baituljannah).

Forbes lauded 20-year-old Nor Diana as having broken down barriers for women in her chosen sport.

“While she’s being criticised in Malaysia’s online community for fighting — and for her tight costume — her involvement in the sport has sparked growing interest in wrestling among young women in Malaysia,” its profile of Nor Diana read.

In an interview with Malay Mail last year, Nor Diana said she was drawn to the sport after being inspired by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and their biggest stars such as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, The Undertaker, Triple H and John Cena.

In the same interview, Nor Diana said she believes that she can use her image to challenge stereotypes and break down social walls, and hopes that people will someday recognise her as a wrestler for her talent and not because she wears the hijab.

She wants to spread good vibes and inspire young people to be themselves and be courageous and fearless like her in-ring persona.

The Premier League will hold an emergency club meeting on Friday morning to discuss future fixtures.

The top flight football body had confirmed tonight that all weekend matches were set to go ahead, in line with the Government's latest stance on dealing with coronavirus.

But this evening it was announced by Arsenal that manager Mikel Arteta has tested positive for COVID-19.

That has changed the situation significantly, with the Premier League now saying: "In light of Arsenal’s announcement tonight confirming that their first team coach Mikel Arteta has tested positive for COVID-19, the Premier League will convene an emergency club meeting tomorrow morning regarding future fixtures.

"The Premier League will make no further comment until after that meeting."

The Telegraph reports that the meeting is set for 10.30am and games are expected to be suspended.
An Arsenal statement said tonight: "Our London Colney training centre has been closed after head coach Mikel Arteta received a positive COVID-19 result this evening.

"Arsenal personnel who had recent close contact with Mikel will now self-isolate in line with Government health guidelines. US diplomat's wife 'claims immunity and leaves UK after fatal road accident'

The wife of a US diplomat reportedly claimed immunity and left the UK after being involved in a fatal road accident.

Harry Dunn died in the incident near RAF Croughton in Northamptonshire on August 27.

The 19-year-old was riding his motorbike when a woman emerged from the airbase on the wrong side of road and there was a head-on collision, it was reported. He later died in hospital.

Northamptonshire Police met with the suspect, who is the wife of a US diplomat and who claimed immunity, Sky News reported. The legal protection also covers dependents of diplomats.

Police applied for a waiver of the immunity to pursue the case, but their request was rejected and they were told she had left the country, the broadcaster reported, quoting Superintendent Sarah Johnson from Northamptonshire Police.

Dominic Raab, the Foreign Secretary, said he was disappointed by the US decision.

"I wish to offer my condolences to the family affected by this tragic incident," he told Sky News.

"I have called the US Ambassador to express the UK's disappointment with their decision, and to urge the Embassy to re-consider it."

Mr Dunn's family said they were "disgusted" by the outcome.

"We're disgusted, appalled, how she could be having this cloak wrapped around her," his father Tim told Sky News. "I'm angry that someone could do this and then get on a plane and go.

"We don't know how we can start to grieve for him," his mother Charlotte Charles added. "We have nothing. No justice. We have nothing to put our minds at rest that she's even remorseful."

Woody Johnson, the US ambassador to the UK, wrote to the family expressing "profound sadness" at the death, according to Sky News.

The embassy said in a statement to the broadcaster: "We express our deepest sympathies and offer condolences to the family of the deceased in the tragic August 27 traffic accident involving a vehicle driven by the spouse of a US diplomat assigned to the United Kingdom."

FIFA Rankings: Indonesia, Myanmar biggest faller

The 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers saw 40 Asian nations, including eight from ASEAN, in action over two matchdays on September 5 and 10. And it did produce plenty of memorable displays — some routine while others surprising.

And the results from the two FIFA international matchdays will have a huge impact on the FIFA World Rankings, which is slated to come out on September 19, with several countries moving up and down the rankings ladder.

However, according to FootyRankings, no country will be adversely affected by their results in the 2022 World Cup and 2023 AFC Asian Cup Joint-Qualifiers second round than ASEAN side Myanmar who suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to second round debutants Mongolia on the opening day before falling to Asian giants Japan 2-0 in their second day.

Miodrag Radulovic’s Myanmar, who are ranked 135th in the world rankings dated July 25, is expected to fall 11 places to 146th when FIFA publishes its latest rankings update next Thursday.

Unfortunately, the second-biggest faller in the FIFA World Rankings is also expected to be from Southeast Asia — Indonesia. Simon McMenemy’s Timnas suffered a late defeat to Malaysia in their opener in Group G followed by a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Thailand on Tuesday.

Indonesia are likely to fall nine places in the rankings to occupy 168th place, according to FootyRankings.

Malaysia, who defeated McMenemy’s side with that late Mohamadou Sumareh goal, will climb one place to 158th, but they will be leapfrogged by Singapore who will climb six places to 156th following a 2-2 draw against Yemen and 2-1 win over Palestine.

Cambodia, coached by Keisuke Honda and Felix Dalmas, will remain 170th in the world rankings following a 1-1 draw against Hong Kong and a narrow 1-0 defeat to Bahrain.

At the top, Vietnam, who played out a goalless draw against Thailand, will drop two places to 99th, while Thailand will climb two places to 113th after a win and a draw in their fixtures.

Two teenagers die minutes apart during violent night in London

London (CNN)The Mayor of London said he was "sickened" after a bloody night in the city saw four people stabbed and a teenager shot dead, in a spate of separate incidents that further highlight the surge in violent crime in Britain's capital.

Police said 14 people were arrested over the three incidents, two of which saw a pair of teenagers lose their lives just 12 minutes apart.
