very old system with RTX

i have an AM3 phenom ii 960 woking fine with GTX1050 (no power pcie) ever since..
was thinking to give this to my kid so she can play minecraft
so,out of curiosity, i want to test this am3 platform with my RTX 2070 super (8pin + 6pin pcie power)..
did not work, sudden blank screen during nvidia driver update.

things ive tried but failed:
1) DDU, update nvidia nvidia driver
2) fresh install windows, update nvidia driver
3) changed PSU
4) swap cable display port, hdmi

help a brother out, thanks

i want to install thermal pad for GPU vram,so im trying to mod with copper shim
which is the best solution?
1) thermal pad (eg thermal grizzly minus pad 8 >link<
2) or thermal gummy (eg >link<)

i want to find something that is more "sticky" something like adhesive so the copper shim will not fall off..
anyone with experience?

Kaspersky hogging data

hi guys, i hope this is the right place to post my problem.

1) my office laptop is installed with Kaspersky antivirus Endpoint Security 10.

2) i usually use my personal mobile data plan during outstation work.

3) i found out that my Kaspersky program is hogging my mobile data plan,
easily "eat" my data without letting me know, eg running at the background.

4) so i use GlassWire program to monitor my data plan.

5) problem is, i can't disable the kaspersky program because it needs admin password.
