Assalamualaikum and peace be Upon you dear Lowyat-ians. I'm new on this board ( usually i'm only active in Art/Design board ) so if this post is totally out of the topic, moderator can place it somewhere else.

TGV Mobile, a Flash-Lite application that enables you to :

1. View ‘Now Showing Movies’ that categorized by language.
2. View the TGV Cinema branches and see what are the movie that are shown in that cinema by date ( today, till the second-next day )
3. View synopsis of the movie
4. One-click-call-booking including all the branches of TGV in Malaysia ( Also covers Tebrau, Seberang Perai, Seremban & Ipoh )
5. All general info about movie included ( Genre, Language, Showtime, Cast , Director, Runtime )
6. Another nifty thing: Bytes Loaded Counter ( to keep track of your usage )

Geng Press Preview - Review

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullah and Peace and blessings be upon you dear Lowyat-tians. It's been 14 days into the new year and how's your art going? Talk about the topic, I was invited to Geng Press Preview and would like to share my review on the movie.

Geng is a story of two guys, Badrol and Lim going to spend their holidays at Badrol’s village with his grandfather a.k.a Tok Dalang, and Badrol’s grandpa makes an appearance on the prime news about the mystery surrounding that village. Fueled with happiness and joy, the duo going to the village and met the famous lovable twins, Upin & Ipin that have attracted most Malaysians during the last Ramadhan ( fasting month ) in 2007 & 2008. To complete the ‘gang’, they’ve also met Ros, the village beauty that’s the older sister to the twins and Rajoo, the animal whispering boy which his paranormal abilities will be totally useful to their plot and storyline.

Storyline? Hold on, there’s no spoilers ahead

And the geng discovers Oopet during their visit their visit to Tok Dalang’s Durian Orchard and the journey of action and adventure starts there, from the warm atmosphere of a Malaysian village and exotic Malaysian rainforest to the world of colorful and fantasy-like cavern with scary giant leeches and gargantuan beast.

If you’re again, thinking about spoilers, this is the third reminder. There’s no spoilers here and you have to see it for yourself.There’s a lot of surprise I really have a cosy time laughing out loud because of the jokes.

So to summarize all

STORYLINE: The storyline a bit…Just normal I think. But I kinda like the ending and the surprise. it’s surprisingly surprised me hahah.

VOICE ACTING: Pretty strong. The feel is there. The voice-actors deliver the emotion pretty well.Escpecially Rajoo.

SOUND EFFECTS: For some reason I think there’s too much song to elevate the mood. But nonetheless, I think it’s still okay and the song are suitable with the scene that presented.

VISUAL EFFECTS: Stunning, but of course can’t expect much from cinema view. If there’s DVD format and play it on LCD TV, of course it would be totally brilliant. Sometimes it felt a bit dark and tooo many details to spot on.

CINEMATOGRAPHY: The action-sequence pack is not complete if it has a bad camera angle/cinematography. I love the cinematography during the motorcycle and the sliding on the wood. Pretty amazing and seems too fast to catch the details.

LOCAL CONTENT: The singing part feels like Hindustan, but actually when I think back again there’s always a feature song in Animation, just that they presented in Action Sequence ( Like Shrek 3 - I need a Hero, more action when Fiona rushing into the castle ). But inside Geng, it was presented in local village set in harmonious village people from different races, which add Malaysian values. That’s more like it and really love it.

VALUE FOR MONEY/ RATING: If you’re looking for 3D Film/Animation benchmark in Malaysia, Geng will set the standards. Go watch it. rating = 4/5

But rest assured, as for me, after watching it, it’s worth to wait after two years for their film. I’m one of their friends and also fans starting with their work which is Misi Mustahak. It’s so promising back then. But they didn’t rush. They took their time and planned everything very carefully. They even test the market response with upin-Ipin mini series, which garnered positive response during their first Geng film Character trailer.

BootCamp problem

hello and let me get straight to the story.

i've setting up the bootcamp assistant
then, i partition, and away from my mbp,
when i comeback, got icon have to restart ( those notice with power logo at the background )
so i just restart la
upon restarting.. i press alt but there was no windows drive present
when enter mac, i realize that no partition for windows, but the space of mac drive have been lesser.. maybe it ate the value that i set to become windows partition in bootcamp previously.. so mac hdd have less remaining spaces than before

my question = how to fix this? I've tried googling around with keyword 'mac boot camp interrupted' but i don't think i got it right. and is it safe if i just reinstall mac os? will it delete any file that i've already installed?

i wanna ask, is there any shops in KL selling iLap? as far as i know, their website always show just apple products and less about accessories. google around with keyword Ilap Malaysia didnt result in any. searching this forum also resulting non-related topics. so i wanna ask if you've been to any apple store here in malaysia and saw and iLap, please tell me the location. another thing is anyone from US going back sooner so i can tumpang order? anyone here using iLap??

running bootcamp decrease mac full potential?

I'm not a mac user. i was thinking to buy a mbp. however i need your guys experience. especially those who owns mbp

about boot camp, when we're running windows, is it true the performance of the mac will drop? since i have Adobe original softwares in windows version, so i have to run bootcamp to make use of it. i heard rumors that when running bootcamp, half of the processing/computing goes to emulating the windows on bootcamp itself.. my friend who owns an iMac said no perfomance drop. but i just need further confirmation before switching.

1. major changes on the interface.

Al-Quran for PSP v1.3

Assalamualaikum and peace be upon you. yes you've heard it right, Al-Quran for PSP version 1.3 is released.

This is because the following surah have some bug that it won't load. Al-Hijr, An Nahl, Ta Ha, Al Anbiya, Al Hajj, Al Mu'minun, An Nur, Al Furqan, Ash Shuraa, An Naml, Al Qasas, Al Ankabut, Ar Rum, Luqman, As Sajda,Al Ahzab, Saba, Faatir, Yaasin, Sad, Az Zumar, Al Waqia.

As the bug fixed already, please delete your Al-Quran for PSP v1.2 as it's not complete with the bugs. please download this whole new version. In addition, search surah bugs fixed.

I'm so sorry for the mistake that i didn't notice this bug. thanks to heru kautsar and mohammad ali for the news. please download a new version. thanks.

Al-Quran for PSP V 1.2

Assalamualaikum warahmatullah and peace be upon you dear lowyatians. This month there are no updates for the magazine. Because we have something else for you

Al-Quran for PlayStation Portable v1.2 released. For this update, the memory problem has been extremely reduced. No more memory problems arouse. But i can't give full guarantee so if anything turns out wrong or you encounter a bug, please report to us. The previous update of psp-alquran version 1.1 has been downloaded 2641 copies. and the update-only zipfile has been downloaded 735.

Upin & Ipin Review

guys.. have you watch upin and ipin.. if youre not.. then you can watch it at my blog. here i put some of my 5 reason why you should watch upin & Ipin

1. Made in Malaysia, by MMU students
2. The voice over is originally done in Malay Language. Which means you'll never see unsynchronized mouth movements. this will make the animations more alive in terms of emotions. ( unlike saladin, the facial expression quite stiffy ) The character movements are pretty natural and alive. I'm feeling like watching Pocoyo, but with a background. ( pocoyo only have soft white background )
3. the extremely appealing cute factor. which make anum and kamil ( anak jiran sebelah ) love it very much.
4. it also explain how and why muslims need to fast, which is verily well written and presented in the animation. ( unlike saladin which brings quite a question.. like saladin act of hesitation to fight )
5. and they serve 6 teaser episode.. and saladin only 2 episode but.. i wonder with those high budget they have to produce, where's the quality. with poor content management ( i afraid they didnt take much attention of the saladin character himself.. because one people complaint they potray saladin's mother with improper veil/tudung, and one people complaint that saladin grabbing the girl as improper ) here the key is the reasearch and ideation. the movement.. if you watch the saladin.. the movement are pretty stiffy. keras. kurang hidup. compared to lescopaque, they're more alive and well researched. from the cow to the movement of playing guli.
