Casio CTK-496 Repair

Hi,

I need some help looking for a distributor/shop/or anyone that does Casio keyboards repair.

I think (and hope) its a minor repair:

I have a barely used Casio CTK-496 and I can't turn it on. I think the power port behind it is broken, as I checked the adapters (adapter isn't broken) and also with batteries (can turn on). There are no loose components, and I don't know where to refer this to. I can't find the official Casio distributorship and the original owner doesn't have the warranty anymore.

Thanks for the help.

[FLASH] Animating dynamic text

Hi,

I am working on some stuff here, and wondering if this can be done, since I'm am not familiar with Actionscript interacting with animation.

I have this page title, but I want it to be slightly tilted. I tried using a normal placed text and it works, but I can't place it freely like a static text.

Is it possible to manipulate dynamic text? If it can't be done like that, is it possible if I put the text in a symbol movie instead, and animate that symbol?

Thanks!

Auto Image Adjust in Viewsonic screwing my monitor

Hi, I need some help. I am now using ViewSonic VX2025 and using the Analog Display input option. However, there is something that has driving me crazy and I need some help from Viewsonic users.

One day there has been a flicker on my monitor, and the Auto Image Adjust 'intelligently' try to fix the edges. Somehow it overblows the ratio and set the edges way off the screen. What's interesting enough is, this monitor only have the horizontal size option. No vertical size. The last time it happens, I invoked the Auto Image Adjust a few hundred times until the monitor was lucky enough to detect screen edges and managed to repositioned the edges. This time, I had no luck. The screen moves a bit left and right then stays there. So much for Auto Image Adjust, Viewsonic.

How can I fix this. Help! I cant resize the vertical edges! My monitor is superbly overblown off ratio.

Component-to-VGA Cable

I've noticed that XBOX360 supports native VGA output on monitors, and the fact that I've been using a VGA box for my old-school xbox bothers me a lot.

I have been wondering if there is a solution to this, especially if I wanted my composite signals to be converted via a Composite-To-VGA cable so that I can play my xbox classic on the monitor, raw VGA pixel-by-pixel glory. Its not possible via normal yellow thingie cable (the lame out-of-the-box cable), but I have been using composite cable via VGA box for some time now. The VGA box does not convert to full VGA display, unfortunately, just giving out converted analog video transmission to the monitor, making it looking like I streamed from a VCD video instead of playing a real-time rendered xbox.

XBOX -> composite -> vga converter -> monitor = analog transmission, butt-ugly and whacked up brightness/contrast with blurry, wavelines-visible output.

I found this on the Net:
Products Page
http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/vga-rgb...nt.html#hd15rgb

OR

Anotherhttp://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/scan/fi=products/st=db/co=yes/sf=category/se=Component%20to%20VGA/op=eq/sf=prod_group/se=Video%20Cables/op=eq.html

And here I wonder, can this cable be a godsend for playing xbox in glorious VGA? I wonder if it can function just like the XBOX360 VGA output cable.

p/s: Simply put, will this product work? I don't mind paying for $19.55 with credit card to order. 19.55 U.S. dollars = 69.38295 Malaysian ringgits, Google says. Or if there is a local shop that sells these? I just want to know if its a possibility.

XBOX -> composite cable -> cable given in the link -> monitor = pure VGA output

pp/s: I'll be getting XBOX360 mid 2007, if you're going to suggest changing consoles. I just want to max out my xbox before doing so.

And another thing, can any1 suggest a place I can get X2VGA2 or s'thing as similar?

The optimum value for maximum of queries per page.

Hi,

I am a PHP web developer, and something has been bothering me for so long.

Here's the situation:

I am developing a CMS, which, already broken down and mapped into literally hundreds of variables to be fetched. Considering the CMS will be able to have multilingual support, each of the words will be interchangeable upon request by the user. The multilingual keywords are placed in different database, such as cms_db_en for english and cms_db_ms for BM.

Here's the problem, or s'thing:

Is it okay to query up to 10 to 15 queries per page, from different tables. Consider this - when loading, the PHP will query MySQL for header information from header table, welcome text layer from the welcome page table, extra information in the welcome page table, and footer information from another table. This means, the PHP will be querying tons of stuff from MySQL. I would consider querying 1 table and getting tons of results as NORMAL, but how about querying 5 tables, 3 fields per table in each page loading?

My question:

Is this normal, or is there any alternatives? I would consider storing the HTML formed welcome text passages into local file, but this would require me to code PHP for file access. Not much time for that. How can we optimize the query processes? Does it help to close the connection after all the query is finished, or rather opening and closing every time the query is invoked?

I'm sorry for the long paragraphs, but this is rather a conceptual/optimization problem rather than the usual error debugging problem. Hope the PHP Gurus here can help clarify this, thanks!
