Buying new laptop

hi..
I'm thinking of buying a new laptop. Currently using Acer Aspire 4820TG. It's a good laptop, can play games that I want to play (Max Payne 3, Mass Effect, Skyrim).
The main reason for me to buy a new one is for USB3.0 since I transfer files a lot. Of course I want the latest hardware (new cpu and graphic card).
Can any one here give any recommendation.

Preferably with these specs:
14" - the right size for me though dont mind if 15".
USB 3.0 - MUST
good enough CPU and GC to play Max Payne 3, Mass Effect, Skyrim, and upcoming games like FarCry 3 etc..

budget is rm2500 - probably can get up to rm3000

One more thing. Is there any new laptop with the specs an price coming within the next three months? If there is, I think I'llwait till then.

Small Gaming Laptop

hi guys..

I'm looking for a new laptop mostly for gaming purposes..
My budget at the moment is max RM3500
Preferably around 14" (15" will depend on weight & maybe price)

Games that I play usually are kinda heavy (ME3, Skyrim, GTA4, BF3 - and FIFA12)

I also will use the laptop for PS, mp3/vid encoding/editing.
And I like to open a lot of tabs when surfing.

Currently looking at:
HPdm4t
XPS14z (though it only got 2 USB from what i read)
M11xR3/M14x (I know it's kinda heavy and also expensive, but i'ts Allienware.. )

So, what are your thoughts about these??
Should i get one of those?? Or maybe your guys have a better recommendations??

And I read somewhere that the CD/DVD Drive can be replaced with another HDD/SDD..
Anyone know where I can do this??

hi to all sifus..
its been a long time since i'm here..

anyway, i'm planning to upgrade my rig (cpu+mobo only for now)..
here's my current rig:

i been looking around and found out that i5 2600K is pretty good..
though that mean i have to buy a new mobo for it...
i got about rm1000 for both of them, so it will be about rm350+ for the mobo..
can u guys recommend me a good one??

i also want to buy an AVR and KOSS brand seems to be cheap.. is it good though??

and one more thing... i've read somewhere about ramdisk..
what's your opinions about it??
and is it available here yet??

got another problem.

just i found out that my SELECT didnt show all data
i got 18 data in the table but it only show 17
and the missing one always the first one - the first numbered if ORDER by ID or name if ORDER by Name

can anyone help?

first off thanks to anyone who helped so far...

got another question now..
i managed to export mysql to .csv

so, want to know if i can change the table header??

example:

i need help...
my desktop can't turn on anymore...
for a few first try, it only come up till the bios screen after that the screen turn black..
actually the monitor said no signal detacted...
then, the when i try again the desktop will beep for a few times and nothing happen..

I have a problem with my motherboard. Every time it boots up it gives me the following message:

New CPU Installed! Please enter setup to configure your system.
Press F1 to Run Setup
Press F2 to load default values and continue.

If I press F1 and configure everything up on the bios, the same thing will happen next time I boot up. If I press F2 it continues normally and works great in windows until I restart the system.

Can anyone help?

hi guys..

like the title above, i'm thinking about upgrading my rig (spec is at my sig)..

first off, i like to upgrade my gc..
i've been thinking about getting hd5850..
but since my monitor is 19", getting 5850 might be overkill (just my opinion)..
so, should i get 5850 or other gc??

i like a gc that can run smoothly on gta4.. i also play games like c&c4, dao, crysis (going to buy crysis 2 later), mass effect 2 & starcraft 2 when its out..

my budget is rm1000 (just bcoz i was planning to get 5850)..

ok then, got another thing in mind..

now i plan to get a ssd + an external hdd/estension..
what are your thought on kingston ssd v 64gb?? anyone have used it??
and between wd and samsung ext hd, which are better??

my friend's laptop suddenly crash when he plays games - nds emu, n4s, last remnant...
most of the times the screen goes black, sometimes it freezes, and other times it show something - lie dump or something..
anyone have any idea why??
