Russian Expert on Malay World and History

Good watch. Length ~30mins. Prof Dr. Tatiana Denisova speaks Malay well, for a Russian.
Broadcast from SG TV.

tl;dr
Modern Malay civilization coaslesced/formed after the pre-requisite common language and religion fulfilled.
Islam was brought into the archipelago directly from Arab missionaries, not from India.
Malays synonymous with Islam, fairly unique in the world.
Malays have a global mindset? (hard to grasp what she meant)
Academic research from historical documents of Malay origins are lacking effort. The Malays themselves appear uninterested.
Malay indentity is weak (due to lack of historical awareness) and sometimes wrongly pictured through extreme delusions that glorify Malay indentity.
Russians started studying the Malays in the 18th century. (do we even have any equivalent academician on Russia and the rest of the world?)
Malays famous for adab, kelembutan and kesopanan. (sometimes a bit too much imo)
Malays generally too passive, not inquisitive or critical enough.
Malays generally open-minded ... sometimes too open-minded which leads them to be susceptible to outside influence.
Pretty much shot themselves in the foot by going through such length to create a fake website.
Oh dear! It would strengthen and vindicate the articles posted on the original site ... surely this was their aim, yes?
Rafizi scores M-m-m-m-monsterkill! in DOTA game vs FELDA.

tl;dr
FELDA caught with pants down lying. They created a brand new company with almost identical name (FIC London Hotel (Private) Limited) on 13th October 2017 to confuse and cover-up.
13th October 2017 was the date that Rafizi first spilled the beans on this case.

Lulz ..
Coolermaster iGreen 500W - the sound of silence

This is for owners of CM iGreen series. Your mileage might varies with other brand.
Also make sure you switch the mains off and disconnect power before attempting to open the PSU.
Do not attempt to touch the PSU circuit board/bare wiring if you haven't discharged the PSU capacitors. It can be fatal.

Today, I just replaced the stock CM fan with an NMB in my CM iGreen 500W PSU and the difference was just astonishing.
After opening the PSU and looking at the fan, I noticed that the stock fan's sticker was actually bulging. Peeled the sticker and you could see traces of lubricant (which had leaked out). Bad fan. This confirms why it was so loud.

Details :
Bad stock fan- Coolermaster A12025-25BB-2AN-P1 (it's actually a Chinese oem CHB120112DB-O .. no idea who's the real manufacturer) /120mm x 25mm / 12V 0.47A / 93cfm 2600rpm 47dbA

Replacement fan - NMB 4710NL-04W-B50 (older N-series .. only one I could find under short notice) /120mm x 25mm / 12V 0.74A / 92 cfm ? rpm 40dB

N.B You'll need to ensure the replacement fan has 2-pins connector. Failing that, buy some from Pasar Road if you're in KL.
You won't be able to fit a 120mm x 38mm fan into the PSU chassis. It's made for 120mm x 25 mm fan.

Extra work done :
1) remove fan grille permanently
2) isolate fan from PSU chassis using bicycle tube rubber. You can get this from any bicyle shops, just ask for the ones they are throwing away. Use Dunlop contact glue to create 2 rubber layer and cut the sheet to roughly a 10 cent coin size. You will need 8. Before mounting, it's easier if you can pre-drill the holes or if you don't have any drill cut it cross shape. Mount them on both sides to isolate the fan & screw head from the PSU chassis.

Conclusion:
No more noticeable grating noise @ idle and extreme grating noise @ high load. My Centurion 534 Casing is now super quiet at idle, almost makes you wonder if the PC is working.
There is a noticeable noise at high load but it's so low that you can ignore it easily. I wanted to get a quieter fan that could push out ~70-75cfm originally, but the result I got with the NMB high speed (xx-xx-B50 or above) was a pleasant surprise. So I'll stick with it until it gets broken.

Next stop, fully dampen casing with Superlon.

P.S Sorry no pics. Wanted to take some, but too late. I'm not about to dismantle the system again.

Edifier S2.1D owner - dead Digital Input

Any S2.1D owners out here experienced a faulty digital input - BOTH on the coax and optical input?
Less than a year it konked out on me and the warranty ran out (because I was too lazy to send it in - yeah, I know, my fault)
The set's been tested to death on 2 different systems. I know for the fact it's RIP.

Analogue input still works fine, but the faulty digital inputs nags on my mind.

I'm about to open the box to search if there's any faulty electrolytic caps etc. ... but before that
Anyone (familiar with electronics) have a fair guess what the faulty component could be?
Finding Panaflo/NMB/Delta 120mm fans in KL

Anyone knows where I can generally located Panaflo/NMB/Delta 120mm fans in KL?
Looking for high cfm, low-moderate noise

Low Yat/Imbi - generics & Coolermasters only
Pasar Road - mostly generics, I could only locate 1 x 120mm NMB which seems to be the only stock.
LYN - saw some Silverstones, but a little overpriced imho for my needs.

P.S For those looking for MCH/Northbridge 40mm fans, Pasar Road has lots of shops selling Delta FFB0412HN (Google it).
Price ~RM8. Nice little bugger. Just use metal epoxy glue to attach to HS.
