Hi all,

I have done my parts research and would like to know if this is an overkill spec for my needs. All spec confirmed except GPU & Monitor.

Games I will be playing are mostly strategies game such as europa universalis, Civ 6, Fortnite & watching Netflix (viewing distance 4m)

Budget: RM6-8k, looking for best bang for bucks for my need.

Monitor: LG 4k 27in UK600-W (RM1700)
GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ RX 5700XT 8GB GDDR6 (RM2200)
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (RM820)
Mobo: MSI B450 Pro Carbon AC (RM600)
RAM: Corsair DDR4 Vengeance 3200 2x8GB (RM350)
Case: Fractal Design Meshify C (RM400)
PSU: Corsair CX650M (re-use)
SSD: Samsung Evo 970 256 GB (re-use)
HDD: 1TB Samsung (re-use)

1) Based on my needs, is 4K monitor + gpu worth it? since it is 2/3 of my 6k budget.
2) Can I get by without GPU for 4K resolution for Netflix? Are there cheaper GPU alternative?
3) How much is it terms of price from low, average & good or custom water cooling + 3rd party installation?
4) Any suggestions for fans intake brands? Preference for quiet fans.

International Transit at KLIA (<3 hrs)

Hey one of my mate is transiting at KLIA around 3 hours before taking his connecting flight to Australia. Both of us plan to meet and catch up at the arrival hall before he takes his connection flight.

Is it possible for him to exit and go past immigration for a few hours and lepak with me at the arrival hall before going back in again because I do not think I can go in since I need to pass immigration with a boarding pass.

Transit period was too short, immi didn't allow my friend to exit and come back again.
At least 5 hrs transit is ok. *sighs*

[Suggestion] Home server streaming over LAN

Hello people,

I need a suggestion here or a guide to help me start a DIY project.
My home is a 3 storey house with a standard analog TV (not LCD) at the top floor, and 2 LCDs at the living room and at the family room in the ground floor and 1st floor respectively.
My requirement should be able to play 1080p mkv file.
Basically I have two routes that I am currently considering.

A)
Buy/build a central server unit either by building a mjni-PC (build option) excusively for media use and this PC also is the "master vault" for streaming to the other TVs at home or buy a PS3 (buy option)

So basically PC/PS3-to-MODEM-to-RECEIVER-to-TV

If I go with this setup any stuttering if ALL 3 TVs access the master vault at the same time playing high quality content?
Any downside for this setup?
Approximate cost?

B)
Buy a dedicated media player for each of the TVs
Any recommendations for analog and LCD media player?

At this stages I believe B will be an easier route compare to A and B should cost less also.
But I am firmly leaning towards A because less hassle in uploading content to the media player.

BUDGET: Prefer RM1k, max at RM2k.

Any suggestions most welcome.
