Unifi hijacks port 5060 - breaks VOIP

Have you called your ISP's helpline?: Yes. But this is a technical problem. Have never had TM handled a technical problem in any decent manner !!!!!!!!!!

Personal equipment
Modem: TM-Provided D-Link DIR-615
Router: Built-in on the DIR-615
Firewall used: Nothing additional - apparently both the BTU and the DIR-615 perform some filtering.

Problem details
First occurence of problem: Continual
Problem frequency: Continual - like a bad tooth ache
Problem description:
SIP phone services use standard ports, as registered with IANA and visible all over the Internet.

TM decided to hijack port 5060 with its UNIFI product. Port 5060 is used by SIP devices to establish phone calls. Without that port, calls cannot be made.

Effectively, TM is preventing the use of any VOIP service based on protocol SIP other than their own service. I have a US-Based VOIP service; I've seen mention of a person using a Korean-based service. They cannot work since TM has hard-wired port number 5060 to their stuff (somehow).

My Questions:
1. Would using the TPLink replacement modem help this situation?
Or - are there indeed issues with the BTU involved here?

2. Does anyone have a way to use VOIP, specifically using X-Lite as the client and Broadvoice as the account provider, with Unifi?

Actually both vlan 500 & 600 has been hard-coded onto the firmware so you don't need to create vlan like the DIR-615, all the features & functions look & feel are exactly like the usual TP-Link firmware.
This custom firmware will use LAN port 1 for IPTV connection.

Unifi stomps all over port 5060, needed for SIP protocol VOIP phones to start up phone calls (or even to register to your account to get a dial tone).

With the TPLink replacement unit, is port 5060 still hard-coded to TM for their VOIP phone?

Or do I have the ability to use port 5060 with SIP when I choose to? (Choice...yep, I want CHOICE.)

More specifically, I use EyeBeam's X-Lite soft phone, and a Broadvoice VOIP account. Also have a VOIPo account - that does seem to work with Unifi using soft phone Zoiper.

But using X-Lite + my Broadvoice account, Broadvoice reports that I "have not place a single call" in the last week. Have tried! Have REALLY tried!

Any info on using SIP-based VOIP phones with Unifi where port 5060 is "not available" for customer use? Is that port freed up using the TPLink replacement hardware / firmware?
