How to extract rar file without password?

I have a rar file which need to be extracted. i tried a few password recovery software but it didn't work out. Any one can help? Really appreciate it.

Hi, i encounter some weird problem whenever i play mp3 files using Window Media Player v10. The CPU usage will shoot up to 50% and the system will be 30%, making total CPU usage 80-100%. The fan is running at full speed. When i close it, everything back to normal. I re-install window .net and windows installer. I couldn't re-install window media player due to an unknown error. I scanned my computer using avast, avg, super anti-spyware and found nothing. Really appreciate anyone who could help out. I'm using window xp sp2.
