Please help answer this survey so I can assess interest. I will quite likely be executing this operation (on behalf of an undisclosed foreign company coming to Malaysia next month) and we need A LOT of restaurant names. Kopitiam, mamak, food courts, EVERYTHING.

We will need probably about 20 part-timers over the period of 2-3 months to gather ALL restaurant names and photo of the signage in each designate area. It will be segregated by area so there's no overlap, that means 100% of the valid restaurants you submit, will 100% be counted. Target is average each person submits 25 per day. The more the better for you. Faster, also better.

Imagine if you're assigned Mutiara Damansara. The Curve + Ikano + e@Curve, got 100 restaurants easily. You finish in one day, I assign another location, maybe Damansara Perdana. Full of restaurants there. Finish in 2 days? Good, assign another Kota Damansara (you can go wild there). Before 1 week you hit 1000.

If you get 1000 in 2 weeks, also is also about a fresh grad pay now, but you can do it part time, any time you want (of course not middle of the night, no lights how you going to shoot the signage?). Easy way to do is you just take the photo continuously, then go home only key in to submit online.

Based on 1000 submissions, see the rewards plan above. Easily worth 2k on average. Very nice, no? Which reward plan would you prefer?

Most probably hiring will begin in 1-2 months. I will give priority to those who answer the poll and give their reasons why they prefer the plan of choice. Special arrangement also can be considered. You wanna submit 5000 restaurants but want guaranteed MacBook Pro? Can discuss!

My dear experienced photography enthusiasts, got a question regarding flash.

Between all the cheap and expensive flashes, other than power/settings/intelligence/etc, is there any difference in the QUALITY of the light? I mean, will it effect the colors/contrast/hues? Let's say given the exact same power/intensity of the light, will it output different quality?

As far as I can see, the expensive flash is expensive due to higher maximum power and LOTS of features and degree of adjustability. Please advise!

I'm looking at this tripod as a good versatile all-rounder. Anyone thinks it's a bad buy?

Conventional tripods can't go very close to ground level, and certainly can't be mounted onto poles and trees.

Share your views please, especially those with first-hand experience on this tripod.

Budget flash for off-camera use

Hi pros and enthusiasts!

I've recently started to read more into strobing and lighting and wonder if I can get any inexpensive flashes for off-camera use, which is not too sucky.

My body is a Canon EOS 1000D. I've seen some cheap stuff on eBay (like 300 bucks) but I'm not sure if I'll regret it. Any input from you guys would be much appreciated!

Hi. First of all, hopefully I'm asking in the right place as I did a search and can't find this question asked or answered in this forum.

I've done some research and generally what I gather is the difference between these two lenses are the trade-off between magnification and DoF.

I'm using Canon EOS 1000D and I have kit lenses (18-55) and my nifty-fifty (50mm f/1.8). I'll mostly be taking random objects (like jewelery and watches), flowers, maybe some insects from time to time.

Hope you guys can share a bit on these lenses as to help me decide which I should buy. Looking to get either one real soon so I would really appreciate some input on this.
