Beliau turut menggesa GLC dan GLIC meningkatkan kebajikan pekerja dan menyokong pembangunan modal insan, termasuk melaksanakan program kebolehpasaran graduan.

Anwar berkata, GLIC perlu menyokong pertumbuhan ekonomi negara dan menggalakkan pelaburan domestik langsung.

“Peranan GLIC yang secara kolektif mengurus hampir RM2 trilion nilai aset hendaklah dioptimumkan bagi menyokong pertumbuhan ekonomi Malaysia.”

Bulan lalu, Anwar dilaporkan berkata, GLIC dan GLC juga perlu meningkatkan pelaburan dalam sektor tenaga digital dan tenaga boleh diperbaharui, serta menggalakkan sektor perusahaan mikro, kecil dan sederhana bagi mengembangkan pasaran mereka ke negara serantau, seperti digariskan dalam aspirasi nasional Malaysia.

Beliau turut memberi mandat kepada GLIC untuk meningkatkan pelaburan langsung domestik mereka kerana mereka mempunyai tanggungjawab untuk bekerjasama dengan kerajaan dalam memacu pertumbuhan ekonomi dan mengembangkan pendapatan rakyat.

Memandangkan jumlah saiz aset di bawah pengurusan bernilai RM1.84 trilion, hampir sama dengan saiz keluaran dalam negara kasar nominal Malaysia tahun lepas, GLIC mampu menggerakkan dan mempercepatkan ekonomi negara.

C'mon people, yes we've made history, yes we've been represed for too long, but it's time to settle down and reconciliate. Let Tun M and team work their magic to heal the the country, let the rule of law run it's course.

Tiles Waffle Marks

Hi all sifu. my kitchen floor tiles have just been installed but the tiles have this marks resultin from them stacking on each oth while in packaging. Tried scrubbing them to no avail.
I did some googling, ppl recommend some products but success rate varies, and the products are not sold locally.

Just want to know if anyone has any experience or ideas?

The civil servants union Cuepacs wants the government to consider a two-and-half months bonus payout to the 1.4 million civil servants this year.

Its president Datuk Omar Osman said Cuepacs had officially submitted a request today and hoped for the good news from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

"Looking at the current economic situation, the request for two-and-half months bonus, which was decided during a Cuepacs meeting held two weeks ago, is appropriate.

"But if there is a bonus announcement, I hope traders would not take the opportunity to raise prices at will," he told reporters at a press conference, here, today.

Cuepacs also hoped the enforcement unit under the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry will continue to monitor the prices of goods in the market, he said.

He said in conjunction with Ramadan and Eid celebrations, civil servants look forward to financial support from the government through bonus payout to ease their financial burden.

Last year, the government gave one-and-half months bonus for civil servants and the bonus was the best ever from the government in recent years.

Meanwhile, Omar said Cuepacs had also submitted a proposal to the government to enhance the grade scheme for uniformed enforcement bodies, to the Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa, at his office, today.

"The proposed improvement involved seven law enforcement agencies ranging from the Road Transport Department, Customs, Fire, Immigration, Prisons, Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism authorities as well as local authorities, involving 120,000 people," he said.

He said the request was in accordance with the burden and the risks faced by them and it was about time to review and upgrade their salary and positions.

"We suggest the officers currently in grade 17 be promoted to grade 27, while the highest level such as the chief directors be placed under better grades," he said.

He hoped the proposal to upgrade the grade would be considered by the government accordingly and can be completed by Dec 31.

The proposal papers were submitted by Cuepacs together with representatives from the seven uniformed bodies. - Bernama, July 10, 2013

i was supposed to sign this offer before a certain date and pass it back. after much consideration, i didnt sign it. and i didnt inform the company. i just let the date lapse.

they called today and i inform them i reject the offer. i was asked to pay for the medical because i verbally agreed.

i know it's my fault i did not inform the company of my decision. but just because my verbal agreement, i'm liable to pay for the medical checkup charges? any1 can enlighten me?
