Menurut Komander UTK, SAC Tuan Mohd Khairi Khairuddin, objektif latihamal tersebut untuk menguji tahap keberkesanan perancangan dan tindakan PDRM ketika berhadapan dengan ancaman keselamatan di dalam kapal terbang.

Selain itu, ia juga bertujuan memantapkan lagi peranan dan tahap kesiapsiagaan UTK selaku sebuah Pasukan elit anti keganasan yang mampu menangani pelbagai bentuk serangan pengganas dalam negara.

Selain PDRM, latihan tersebut turut disertai oleh krew sebenar dari Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB) yang berpangkalan di KLIA.

Hadir menyaksikan latihamal di "South Support Zone" KLIA itu ialah Pengarah Jabatan Keselamatan Dalam Negeri dan Ketenteraman Awam (KDNKA), CP Dato’ Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani bersama ketiga-tiga timbalannya dan wakil dari MAB.

Question about brake disc and pad

i. 2013 Kia Forte 1.6 SX (C Segment) has some deep grove marks on the brake discs (both front)

No impact on brake feel, no idea on actual performance as the car is hardly ever driven fast.
1. Do I need to resurface them? Should I change them or ignore it?

ii. 2015 Hyundai i40 (D Segment) I think has mismatched OEM brake disc and pad sizes, resulting in the 'bowl' effect

2. Can I safely ignore it until it has worn out naturally?
3. Am looking to have a lighter disc and better thermal performance, but probably not drilled or slotted ones as I heard that they are very aggressive on the pads
4. Also looking to have pads with less brake dust, maybe Akebono Pro-ACT Ceramics.
5. Do stainless steel brake lines and fancy calipers actually have a big impact on braking performance?
6. Should I go to specialized Korean car workshops, or do most workshops know how to do them? I am actually also considering getting the original SC to do it.

Low idle RPM

Lately, 1 of my cars have been having low idle RPM, below 700

This tends to result in bad at traffic lights/jams.

Can this be fixed? I've sent it to SC many times, but they just said "reset liao, should fix it".

Could this be engine mounting problem too? Is there such a thing as better engine mountings that reduce engine vibrations?

GEORGE TOWN: To marry a young girl seems to be the desire of some men, whether or not they are Muslims.

The recorded instances number in the thousands, whatever the religion.

According to Penang Institute, the state government’s policy think tank, statistics show that between 2005 and 2015, 10,240 Muslims applied for child marriages in Malaysia.

Among non-Muslims, 7,719 men applied to marry a girl aged between 16 and 18 from 2000 to 2014.

According to the Malaysian Syariah Judiciary Department, the highest number of Muslim child marriage applications came from Sarawak (2,064), Kelantan (1,929) and Terengganu (924) between 2005 and 2015.

Penang Institute political studies analyst Ooi Kok Hin, in his study last year titled “Child Marriages in Malaysia: Reality, Resistance and Recourse”, revealed that for non-Muslim child marriage applications between 2000 and 2014, Sarawak also took the first place with about 1,750 cases, Johor next with about 1,000 cases.

Even Penang had about 250 non-Muslim child marriage applications and Selangor about 700 in that period.

He said the approval rate for Muslim applications in 2015 was 81%.

“So, Syariah Court judges approved eight out of 10 child marriage applications,” Ooi stated, adding that he was unable to gather statistics on the approval rate of non-Muslim child marriage applications.

For non-Muslims wanting to marry under the age of 18, they must have the approval of the Mentri Besar or Chief Minister.

The Law Reform (Marriage and Divorce) Act 1976 stipulates that under no circumstances can the marriage of non-Muslims below 16 years old be legally approved.

“Child marriage is not a fringe issue in Malaysia. Most immediately, we are dealing with cases of children being forcibly and suddenly exposed to sexual acts before they are physically and emotionally ready,” states Ooi.

Meanwhile, Penang Women, Family, Gender Inclusiveness and Non-Islamic Religion Committee chairman Chong Eng announced that the state secretary and state legal adviser have been instructed by the state executive council to study how to amend Penang’s Islamic laws to raise the minimum age of Muslim marriages to 18 for both men and women.

“Our Chief Minister informed the exco after his meeting with the Prime Minister and the exco agrees to explore this amendment,” she said.

As with most states, Section 8 of the Penang Islamic Family Law Enactment 2004 states that no marriage may be solemnised where either the man is under the age of 18 or the woman is under the age of 16, except where the Syariah judge has granted permission in certain circumstances.

The enactment does not spell out the circumstances.

GST for items already PAID before April

Guys, want to ask:

If I had ordered some items, and already PAID for the items on March 9, but the shipment was delayed to April.

Now the seller wants me to TOP UP additional 10-14% because of "GST", before shipping.

Is that fair? Should I complain to authorities?
