Carjacked - Mitsubishi Triton VGT WWR3480

Greeting,

My car was been hijacked just now at 9:30pm (6th August 2012). Black Mitsubishi Triton VGT WWR3480. It happened right infront of Maktab PDRM Cheras highway (Before Plaza Phoenix), opposite PGA Camp.

I was on the way to KL. Suddenly I was hit from the back by White Nissan Sentra WHY9166. I stopped at road side. First I looked around and it's still early and busy traffic all along the highway. But once I unlock the car suddenly there is another car stopped infront of me (couldnt remember the car) and came out 2 Indian guy pulled me out while one of them push me off on the road, the two other from Nissan Sentra (Indian too) came out from the car to pull me off. Then one drove my car away and the other three went into the Nissan Sentra.

Phone and wallet were still in the car too.

Thankfully they didnt hurt or in use of any weapons against me. The highway was busy, so appreciate if any witness of the incident at that particular time can provide me and info regarding the carjackers. It was my fault for stopping but I didnt expect it happened on a very busy scene. And please have a lookout but I highly doubt It'd be found.

Please be extra careful everyone, criminals are getting desperate and everywhere is unsafe nowadays.

I can be reached via PM, or 0192216517 (Dad's mobile).

Thanks and be extra careful everyone.

Mother Drives With 5-Week-Old on Top of Car

Link

QUOTE

A Phoenix, Ariz., woman put her 5-week-old baby on top of her car in his car seat and drove away, apparently forgetting he was there, not even noticing when the seat fell off the car and landed in an intersection, police said.

Neighbors discovered the baby on the roadway, still strapped to his safety seat, which was lying on its side. Luckily, the baby was unhurt.

The baby's mother, 19-year-old Catalina Clouser, who allegedly had been smoking marijuana, was arrested and charged with aggravated driving under the influence and child abuse, police said.

"We believe that whatever she was under the influence of was the deciding factor in what did happen to this child and we're extremely happy that for the baby this turned out well and the baby is going to be OK," Officer James Holmes of the Phoenix Police Depart said.

Clauser, her boyfriend and their friends had been smoking marijuana earlier in the evening at a nearby park, but the boyfriend was arrested on suspicion of aggravated DUI when they went to a store - with the baby in the car - to get beer, according to police.

Upset that her boyfriend was arrested, police said, Clauser went to a friend's home and smoked more marijuana.

Clauser left around midnight and apparently put the sleeping baby on the roof of the car and drove off, forgetting he was there, and continued driving after the baby fell off the car, Holmes said.

Leilani Gerlach, a homeowner who lives across from the intersection, notified police after she and another neighbor saw the baby in the car seat on the street.

"We were both rolling our eyes in astonishment that someone could forget their baby," Gerlach said. "The car seat was turned to the side so anyone passing by wouldn't be able to tell there was an actual baby inside. Thank god they stopped."

After police arrived, two people walked up and told them the baby was Clausen's. As the officers talked to the two, who identified themselves as friends of Clausen and her boyfriend, the young mother drove up, police said.

"[She] had gotten into her car, set the baby seat on top of the car and forgot that the child was up there. It does not appear that immediately she realized what happened," Holmes said. "I think that perhaps she got where she was going and realized that she did not have the baby in the car."

"There was damage to the car seat, it was scraped but there was no damage to the child," Holmes said.

The baby is now in custody of Child Protective Services.

Enabling C1E, EIST, CIA2 ...

As mentioned above,

After we determine our oc settings stable after (doesnt matter Prime95,OCCT, Orthos) few hours of stressing, can we enable CIE,CIA2 and EIST ? Any chance of causing instability ?After enabling back do we have to stress it again just to make sure its safe ?

I finally decided to go with 4.1ghz daily @ 1.225v as it's still under stock voltage, (referring to VID, it's 1.2375v). Because on 4.2ghz I have to pump until 1.275v and 0.1ghz doesnt make any significant difference in real life performance. SS attached. The thing is now I wanna know whether enabling all (or either one or two of 'em) is safe for overclocked system.

I got difference answer thru google, overclock.net, extremeoverclocking.com and few other overclocking websites. So might as well open up the discussion to all the oc-ers here. Do you actually enable all the power saving options after you determine your daily overclocked setting system ? What to do and what not to ?

Just to share with you few posts regarding this issue -

QUOTE(T3h_Ch33z_Muncha)

Well i enabled every power saving feature on my OC'd e5200 and suffered no performance hits or instability.

QUOTE(Webrider)

As long as ur overclock is safe u can turn these settings on. Benefits are a lower power consumption while ur not stressing the cpu and lower temps. So yea go ahead as long as the OC is safe

QUOTE(guyladouche)

Another confirmation that you can re-enable all the power-saving features you want and it *shouldn't* hinder your stability of your OC--that's what I've experienced on my current intel system. With my previous AMD system, the mobo would fail to boot if the system was OC'd and you turned on cool 'n quiet. So it does seem to be dependent on the mobo, though my old one was very low-quality, so perhaps that's why...

QUOTE(GoHigh)

If you set your voltages on AUTO, then, the power saving functions will work. It will lower the voltages to match a lower frequency of the FSB. However, if you manually input the voltages in, like in most cases, then the voltages will not drop when your computer goes into the C1E state, negating any power saving feature, and end up overvolting an slower clock speed of the CPU.

Will your computer be stable? Most of the time. Is it safe to do so? Not quite sure, but most likely yes. Is it good to do so? Maybe not.

Well the last post seems against the idea of enabling the power saving options. What say u guys ?
[Help] Nokia N73 Troubleshoot

Greetings fellow lyn-ers,

1.My father has an N73 with him, the problem is, it shows inaccurate date and time, even if adjusted correctly, the next few hours it turned out to be inaccurate again, and yes, the phone isnt dropped nor encounter any hard knock or accident.
Any solution to encounter this problem ? Or do I really have to send it to repair which will definitely cost some penny ?

2.The speaker seems to be producing abit of noise, guess my dad blast it to the max for his ringtone, how much does it cost to change a new one ? With labour.

3.Thinking of getting the original N73me housing including the keypad as the current housing got few noticeable scratches, where is the cheapest place to get it changed ? Or fellow lyn-er got good source ?

Thanks in advance

Warcraft 3: Maphack

My college has its own Warcraft III battle.net server created by one of us. But nowadays, maphack is polluting the games (e.g DotA). The fun is all gone with few maphackers in a game and the game is losing its interest.

1. Let's take the latest map, 6.52d, if I were the host, besides typing -ah in early after the game started, what should I do to disable the maphack ?

2. If Im not the host, any step that I can take for preventing it ?

3. How to prove the person is using maphack ? (Not by judging the game play but a solid prove)

The trills and the adventure is fading away with this kind of people spoiling the games. Comments and advices are appreciated and hope you guys wont spam aite

Artifacts on Acer 19" with Biostar TA690G Onboard

Currently I sold off my Sapphire HD2600XT GDDR3, and planning to use my onboard Biostar TA690G X1250 temporarily on Acer AL1917WA 19" Widescreen.

After uninstall all the driver and install a new onboard vga driver for the x1250, I cant set my resolution to 1440x900 as many artifacts (multicolour lining across the display) The highest resolution I can use without those lining/artifacts is only 1152x864 at 70hz screen refresh rate. This is frustrating. And even in gaming (WoW,DotA) this 1152x864 reso is giving artifacts too in gameplay. Im connecting the LCD through DVI cable. Tried severals screen refresh rate yet helpless.

The only thing that across my mind is replace the DVI cable with blue VGA cable to connect from the mobo to the LCD. - Will this help actually ? But Im in college while my VGA cable is at my hometown.

So now, what should I do to run 1440x900 resolution on my 19"w ? Or x1250 aint capable to support it ?

Thanks in advance,
mizivincible
